Nope, looks like Rush Limbaugh is the liar, when he refuses to take responsibility for his own statements.

Maybe you should look up the definition for “responsibility”, patriot. I don’t think you understand what it truly means.

Or how about when he cuts people off that argue with him, expecially when they’re making a cogent point against the Limbaugh Extremist point of view, that he’s supposedly “winning” the argument.

How sad for Mr Limbaugh that he refuses to see the truth of his faltering logic.

Can this be proof that Mr. limbaugh is back on his illegally acquired prescription drugs?

Or does this further show that the so-called “take responsibility” conservatives refuse to take responsibility for their statements?

How about: both!

All that is needed is to require a disclaimer after every break on these programs. A warning label.

“This program is intended for entertainment purposes only. It is not an educational or news program” … or something like that

All the ranters like Savage, Limbaugh, Coulter, O’Reilly etc. should be required to warn their listeners.

And Fox News should be required run it constantly on their marquee

– And that’s fine. Unlike rightwing sites like RedState and Ann Coulter, TP doesn’t ban people just because of their views.

– If you’re being dehumanized, that’s a shame. Nobody should dehumanize another human. But if you believe nobody here debates the merits of the ideas of others, you’re not paying attention.

– Dealing with Rush Limbaugh goes beyond dealing with dissent. Rush does not merely present an opposing point of view, he mocks, he exaggerates, he insults, he distorts, and he outright lies. And he smears (so it’s kind of funny that he accuses others of smearing him). All we do with Rush is expose him for what he is. Yes, he gets called a lot of names here at TP, but he’s chosen to live and die by that sword. If he can’t take it, he shouldn’t dish it out.

– I’m quite comfortable with my positions and I can defend them, thankyouverymuch. And so can many others who post here regularly at TP. You may be getting a rather skewed perspective because this is a Limbaugh thread, and reaction to that blowhard can be a bit visceral here. Besides, on this thread, what’s to defend? Rush got caught in a lie. What else is new? Debating the “Rush can do no wrong” crowd is pretty pointless. Check out some of the other threads and you will find better examples of debate.

– Can’t respond to that vague statement without a few specifics. I’ll just say I don’t feel miswired. My values are in order.

– No, I don’t know that. I don’t feel beaten. And this isn’t really a valid debate point. It actually sounds more like a “snide personal remark” instead of a “coherent counter point” (quotes are yours, but you probably recognized them).

– Aha! FINALLY we get to a point I can actually respond to with some content. You bring up two issues that are hardly comparable. Erosion of the Bill of Rights and other parts of the constitution is one issue, and a completely separate one from universal health care. Conflating them is like conflating government-paid highways with communism. Yes, I object to the trampling of the first, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth amendments. And yes, I support universal health care — not because I require bureaucrats to organize my life, but because our current system is expensive, unfair, and broken. I would rather deal with a few bureaucrats than continue shoveling out tons of money toward the for-profit health care industry. And so would a majority of Americans.

It’s sorta like that tongue-rolling thing.

Thanks for ‘06, and for finally destroying your party by allowing your beaurocrats to shred the Constitution and spend all of your tax dollars on making arms dealers and oilmen insanely rich. You have shown how much you hate freedom and the American ideal, and we thank you in advance for the landlide victories progressives will have for the next several election cycles, as you rush-washed imbeciles lose all of your power and ability to try moving this country back to the Nazi Germany of the 1930s. All of your lies and treasonous bullshit is going to make you completely irrelevant and ineffective for decades, finally.
