Except you forgot to mention that you would not answer that question in all honesty. You would blindly support GWB and answer Yes, you do approve of how the war was handled. Honesty & Republican support are mutually exclusive.

And with the progress currently occuring in Iraq, the number of people who want to win will only increase throughout the rest of this year and next….bad news for Democrats.

Where’s that evidence I asked for? You’re certainly making a lot of assertions about the opinions of Americans without it.

Just post the link to the poll that says 70% of Americans want to win the war. It’s entirely possible that with the question worded the right way, such a poll exists. I just can’t find it.

And while you’re at it, provide some evidence to back up your assertion that 1) progress is currently occuring in Iraq, and 2) support for the war is increasing.

Otherwise, I can only assume these are wild fantasies on your part.

Bigfoot makes this statement after claiming that “70% want to win.” Again and again, bigfoot makes sweeping statements about “what Americans want” which are completely at odds with all statistical polling data. The latest CBS/Washington poll asks this:

“Do you approve or disapprove of the way Bush is handling the situation in Iraq?”

68% Disapproved & 30% approved

That’s a pretty easy question to answer, Bigfoot. No confusion there. Now, can you show us where you get your “70%” number?

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the only voices of reason amongst the constant drumbeat for War. And more War. And more War. And more War. And more War…

Polls are not about the question as much as they are about how the question is worded.

Just pointing out here that Li’l Footie has absolutley NO problem distorting stats to make an artificial point (unlike the one on his head, which is real). Below is an example of Footie’s manipulation of stats.

“… The troops have drawn conclusions about fellow citizens back home. Asked why they think some Americans favor rapid U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq, 37% of troops serving there said those Americans are unpatriotic, while 20% believe people back home don’t believe a continued occupation will work.”

Since Little [ ] won’t link to his “source”, I found at least one of them for ya, folks. The above info is actually from a Zogby poll taken almost a yr and half ago (source below! ;-D!!). No wonder Little [ ] didn’t provide the reference. Don’t know where the rest of it comes from, but ** YAWN **, I think it’s safe to ignore Little [ ]’s “data” here.

Holy cow, are you serious? Ron Paul has been endorsed by the Constitution party. This party is not to be mistaken with the Constitution itself. They are to the Constitution what Creationists are to the Bible. Paul believes in nearly pure libertarianism. He favors eliminating the income tax and nearly all regular government functions. He favors eliminating Medicare and Social Security. He is truly on the far fringe by any political reckoning. He only opposes the war because he believes in isolationism. The ONLY good thing he would do is end the war, but his foreign policy would be so crazy and misguided that it would probably cause further global instability. His prehistoric ideas on monetary policy would be even worse.

1) Think of this for a 10 second sound bite for the election:

70% of the Americans want their toops home. BOOOOOO!!!

2) Even if you are for the staunchest neocon for keeping our troops in Iraq for perpetuity and expanding their range to include Iran and Syria. Even it that – the 70 % is a poll figure that must be considered in making strategy for the election.

Standing with Bush for many is the money they are pulling in, for others they can’t admit their idol is a sick psycho, they think he is protecting them. After all no attack in 6 years. However, we weren’t attacked for 8 years during Clinton’s term plus we had a strong economy and credibility Internationally.

I condemn Pelosi for not doing what she was voted in to do, impeach Bush and Cheney.

I mean really… what sort of audience do you expect at a conservative debate? Thinking people? This is why Paul is never going to make the cut. When it comes to Iraq he is making sense, and is using facts as his guide. But that’s about all he has going in the thinking department. After that he’s pretty much conservative cow-towing all the way.

Watch the spin, you don’t want to become similar to conservative sites that spin so much they don’t know which way is truth. :)
