I’m a Christian and I don’t see bigotry as a “right” I’m entitled to.

Or super-duper extra surprised when his mind experiences everything it is, as his neurons fire like crazy, showing him his life, before the cold finality of death grips him, and he realizes before he finally expires that there is nothing beyond this life but oblivion, that he should have been better to the people that exist in the real world, and striven to live up to the ideals of his fellow man and society as a whole, not some work of myth-telling.

Maybe then he’ll feel regret for the way in which he treats others. Perhaps he’ll regret the manner in which he attempts to force his narrow view of the world upon those around him. The raw selfishness that guides his actions will hopefully be exposed for him to see in those final moments, and he can weep inside knowing he could have used all of the energy he expended not hating those not like him, not despising or pitying those who want to see every man, woman and child on Earth live in peaceful co-existence, but rather embracing their wild variety and sweet differences, and helping the world to be a better place for all human. Not just (some) Christians.

Matthew 6:5-6:6
“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

Matthew 7:1-7:5
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”

Matthew 7:12
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”

You do not follow the words of Yeshua. You follow the words of men, who need followers, who need others to spread the word of their seat of power. You worship a betrayal of the teachings of a good and progressive man, who was trying to make the world better for all mankind.

Shouldn’t there be a comma somewhere in “to fail or refuse to hire, or to discharge any individual…” Without the comma, to me it reads that it’s unlawful to fail or refuse to hire, or to fail or refuse to discharge, any individual blah blah blah.

I’m probably just picky.

BTW, Daryll’s going to be very suprised when he dies and winds up in hell, won’t he?

Actually, you seem to have come up with a truism, Butter Boy.
GOP values consist of monetary ideologies almost exclusively.
And so, in that regard, they have not compromised themselves.

Well if that’s what your religion says then you must obey. I assume I have the same rights. My religion says I must beat the $hit out of anyone who judges me on the basis of their religion.

Witnessing is not synonymous with passing judgment. Christian witnessing is telling the story about how Jesus death on the cross freed humanity from having to worry about our sinfulness and trying to earn our way to eternal life.

Sure, but you’re picking and choosing here. Your savior also says not to pray in public but you probably stand and lurch around with a bunch of your fellow cultists playing drama queens by striking poses and speaking in tongues every Sunday morning. According to Matthew, Jesus would call you and every one of your fellow evangelicals “hypocrites.”
