I suspect that Brownie is one of the arsonists that the police think started the fires. And, I suspect he did it so he could send out the press release.

That’s a bit annoying. Apparently he doesn’t know that the stadium is city property, built for the San Diego State Aztecs (at least that was how it was sold to the public). The NFL has no say over the use of the stadium (save for threatening that San Diego will never have another Super Bowl unless it caves into ever increasing NFL blackmail demands for more seats and luxury boxes). Of course, in Brownie’s world, everything does, or at least should, belong to corporate interests.

Should FEMA or Michael Brown get involved in fighting the wildfires in California, then the situation would really get out of control.

The last thing people in Southern California need are incompetent cronies like Brown or Chertoff sharing their “expertise” in disaster relief efforts.

The only expertise these two have is getting paid for doing little or nothing beyond being Bush loyalists.

I think you all misread this. The statement said “Mr. Brown can speak to the turmoil being caused by the California wildfires.” Not about the turmoil being caused by the wildfires.

This is just another stop on his lecture series speaking to abstract concepts. Last week he gave a speech to hubris, and next week he’ll be visiting hearsay and conjecture.

Don’t agree. Bush mismanaged the Bush administration response. Brownie was out of his depth, FEMA incapable of handling the disaster, but he repeatedly warned Bush and Chertoff that Katrina was going to be huge and he needed all the help he could get.

The rest is history. Bush ate cake whilst NOLA drowned. Brownie wasn’t up to the job, but the buck stops with the man who appointed him.

This must be a joke! The state of California has held their own. Brownie is useless in that state. You notice that the evaluations for all of the fires went smoothly. And it didn’t need FEMA!

Memo to Brownie: The California fires are not Katrina! You failed at Katrina. So, don’t try to make up from your mistakes with the California fires!!!

Brownie is just looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

In Brown’s case, incompetence isn’t a crime.

I honestly feel bad for him, he’s just an average loyalist who was promoted far beyond his abilities. Hell, if they offered me the job as head of FEMA today, I’d probably STILL take it and I have zero qualifications.
