State Dept security chief resigns.

State Dept security chief resigns.

Richard Griffin, the assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security, announced his resignation today “in the wake of last month’s deadly Blackwater USA shooting incident in Baghdad and growing questions about the use of private contractors in Iraq.” The State Department has been “sharply” criticized for its “poor coordination, communication, oversight and accountability” involving contractors.

Sure he resigns and Condi goes shoe shopping. Although I did hear something about protestors finding her while she was speaking today. Yay.

  5. dim wit says:

Richard Griffin spoke to Bush before his resignation. He gave Bush an ultimatum: Either Blackwater goes or I go.

    This is getting comical.

And why is the government letting BW set up huge compounds for training all over the US? The Chicago one, the South Carolina one, the one near the boarder in California? Sounds fishy to me.
