>When you make an accusation, it is up to you to prove it.

Tampon Don is a moron of the highest order. When the allegation is that something didnt happen, it is not up to the the person claiming something didnt happen to prove anything. You prove bush served in Alamaba Tampon Don. Theres a reward out there for proof, maybe you can collect it.

And what do you have to say about the secretary who confirmed that the contents of the documents were true even though she didnt beleive the documents were genuine?
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/09/15/60II/main643768.shtml

"Now, another voice - a credible voice - has entered the debate. Killian's secretary, Marian Carr Knox, describes herself as Killian's "right hand" during much of the 1970s.

She flew to New York Wednesday afternoon to tell 60 Minutes that she believes the documents we obtained are not authentic.

But there's yet another confusing twist to this story. She told Correspondent Dan Rather that she believes what the documents actually say is exactly as we reported.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Knox is 86 years old, and completely comfortable in the eye of a storm. She spent more than two decades keeping pilots and officers in line at Ellington Air Force Base in Houston. Now, she wants to set the record straight about the memos that CBS News obtained.

Knox says she didn’t type these memos, but she says she did type ones that contained the same information.

“I know that I didn’t type them," says Knox. "However, the information in those is correct.”

Knox says the information in the four memos that CBS obtained is very familiar, but she doesn't believe the memos are authentic. She does, however, remember Killian being upset over Mr. Bush's failure to take a physical. "

Bush says he's released all his records...if that's true, then has anyone seen:

Any pages from Bush's flight log?

Records from the Flight Inquiry Board convened after Bush was suspended as a pilot?

Any evidence of Bush's reclassification into another AFSC after suspension as a pilot?

Any photos of George Bush in a military uniform after 1972?

Anything at all from any Alabama unit with Bush's name on it?

Any copies of form 44a from the Alabama National Guard certifying attendance?

Air Force Form 142 (Aviation Service Audit Worksheet)?

Anything proving service (not just receipt of pay) by Bush between May 1972 and May 1973?

Bush can't provide these because they don't exist. Bush was AWOL.

How many deferments did Deadeye Dick get? Isn't that the same Dick Cheney that said he didn't want to see soldiers' lives wasted to hunt down Saddam? The same Dirty mouth Dick that swore on the floor of the Senate?

http://www.doonesbury.com/strip/bush_guard.html.

Bush has never proven his service. Bush is phony. I don't care about Dan Rather and the "forged" documents. The doesn't prove Bush was there. Bush wasn't at the Air National Guard. He was tying a massive drunk and snort fest on while working for one of daddy's friends campaign.

Bush was AWOL and can't prove he ever served his entire tour.

Go take the challange TCDon, even if you don't need the money.

Which is why I think the Bush team organized this whole thing. Making obvious forgeries of real documents and real information that exists enables the spin team to focus the argument on the forgeries instead of the real information. By discrediting the forgeries, you can discredit the information.

Dan Rather and CBS obliged by falling into their trap completely. Shame on them.

TCDon sez:

That sounds like the same lame argument that liberal news anchor Dan Rather tried to support with forged documents before he resigned in shame.

The documents' authenticity could not be verified. That's quite a bit different from the documents being proven forgeries, as you assert...but I'm sure such a distinction is lost on you.

If you're so certain Chimpy didn't go AWOL, then it should be a trivial matter for you to present the proof. Hellinabucket's offer of $10,000 should make it worth your while...

We really do need to ignore the trolls. Come on, if you cannot understand the purpose of the Berger claims or comparing draft eligible Bushes' service in the Champaign unit of the TANG, then you are just furthering their purpose.

Now to the topic. Some people learned the right lessons from their experience during the Watergate. John Dean comes to mind. However, the Republican party generally learned the wrong lesson. Note how many of George's senior staff date back to the Watergate era. Instead of learning that bribes, dirty tricks, misuse of federal power and other such tyrannical tactics were improper, most Republicans simply learned that they should have covered their tracks better.

I am not going to let off the Democrats either. They have done their share of things as well. However, the Democrats usually show a remorse for their transgressions. The Republicans always want to take any unethical or illegal tactic to the next level.

$10,000 dollar reward still on the table to prove that Bush served his entire tour of duty. Still no takers.

TCDon, Bush didn't complete his service. He went AWOL and it was covered up. Nobody can place Bush at the Alabama Air National Guard during the times he was supposed to be there. Nobody.

Bush performed Guard duty as an F-102 pilot. What did Hillary Clinton do?

Comment by TCDon — October 29, 2007 @ 1:32 pm

Yeah, and he saved Texas from the Vietcong, all by his little ol' self! That's why he REFUSED to go to Vietman. He was too busy protecting Houston from the incoming waves of North Vietnamese irregulars.

I see TCDon's getting his usual spanking....

I just have to add my own two cents.

*clears throat*
BUT KLINTON...SANDY BERGER... DID IT TOOOEELELEU!!!!11!11!111one11!1!111!OMFGBBQHAX
*cracks fingers*

It got old the first time you guys did it, and you're like an 8 year old kid who just lost in a multiplayer online game is now throwing a tempertantrum.

Keep showing world+dog that you're idiots. That should guarantee a nice Democratic majority in the House and Senate in 2008 if past history is any indication.

Could it be something in their diet? One possible hypothesis is that they are suffering from an irony deficency, possibly caused by the crap they were spoon fed as children.

Fetal alcohol syndrome followed by a steady diet of lead paint chips. The combination of these two causes IQs way below average resulting in irony deficiency. The only cure, brain transplantation.

I hope to God that they nail these fascists Pukes to the wall.

...But I'm not going to hold my breath. These Bananarepublicans have succeeded in corrupting a number of judges as well - enough that justice is no longer a sure thing - even with a mountain of evidence.

It certainly is true that progressive blogs are taking a toll on the right. Otherwise the wingers would not be so obsessed with them. Every time scum like O'Reilly and Limbaugh and anyone at the Fox propaganda ministry says something negative about progressive blogs, we all win. Their fear is palpable. Steve Boylan is so afraid of the damage caused by blogs to his own propaganda unit that he got very drunk and sent a crazy email to Glenn Greenwald that has him scurrying for cover now.

troll buster & StratRat - is that why they’re so bitter? They rely on tiny little paychecks from the GOP to hang around where they’re not wanted?

Comment by mary

Actually Mary, that subject came up also. Basically he explained it like Amway: One or two "veteran" trolls get others to do as they do. Once the downline trolls get going, they are encouraged to find other folks who have time on their hands and not much to say. That was the guys main point: You won't find these trolls engaging the topic; that is not their job. Their job is to keep YOU from engaging the topic. That is the whole scheme. If all we do is spar with the iodots, we lose our momentum, and our ability to convince others who might be receptive to our positions. It is the "fence sitters" this whole thing is designed for, not the folks who already made up their minds.

The right side is terrified of progressive blogs. More and more Americans - right and left - are looking to blogs for information and facts. You and I know that information and facts would be the death knell for the most republican candidates. So instead of communicating their positions, republicans find it easier - and more fun - to distract and sully the reputation of the messenger.

I don't think the RNC pays trolls to come here - I think they brainwash them into volunteering for the mission. And because of their lack of ability ot think logically and see the truth, they have come to believe that they are performing a "noble service."
RNC never pays for something they can get at no cost except for some creative lies and spin.

those emails are to be kept for the people. If they weren't then Bush has violated his oath of office (yes, I know but this one should stick).

He is not above the Constitution and our laws.
