Law firm sues Kerik for $200,000.

Law firm sues Kerik for $200,000.

Bernard Kerik, former NYPD commissioner and close friend of Rudy Giuliani, is now “being sued for allegedly stiffing a law firm on a $202,384.04 tab, after its lawyers helped keep him out of jail.” The suit comes as federal prosecutors are reportedly prepared to file charges against Kerik “that will likely include allegations of bribery, tax fraud and obstruction of justice.” Marc Mukasey, son of Attorney General nominee Michael Mukasey, has also been tasked by Giuliani “to keep an eye on” Kerik’s criminal investigation and “distance Giuliani from all” the allegations.

We can judge Rudy by the company he keeps.

  2. Badmoodman says:

If Bernie Kerik should suddenly turn up dead, should we refer to him as Giuliani’s Vince Foster?

  3. Marie says:

It’s all one big happy “family.” Bush, Mukasey, Giuliani, Kerik.

  4. Marcus Aurelius says:

If you’re going to prison, it kind of makes sense to stiff your lawyers.

    Just for Halloween:

If America elects “Ghouliani”, they’ll be plenty of tricks and no treats.

And how many times was the word ‘corruption’ used in the debate last night?

  7. Clyde the Ripper says:

The most difficult task in the history of this Country is now the everyday burden of one Republican “distancing” himself for all the other criminal Republicans. The proper distance should be the width of the bars separating the prison cells. Do you suppose Leavenworth has cells sized in a hierarchy similar to the room scheme in a Las Vegas Casino Hotel? If so, the cell assignment should be in reverse order with the biggest baddest getting the littlest teeniest cells (Darth and King George the Dumb would have just room enough to stand on one foot at a time at the bottom of their waterboard. To save even more space the commode would do double duty) and the little guys (Governors, County Supervisors, Mayors, Councilmen, etc) having cells varying in size up to the suites. Of course the suites must be heterosexual (one of each) or the Repug perverts will lose sight of the fact they are in jail and not in an airport somewhere.

  8. JustJohn says:

Pretty sure I heard ‘corruption’ and ‘impeachment’.

  9. gummitch says:

Not surprising, since legal services are overpriced in this country. The government knows how to back its citizens into a wall. So much for “innocent until proven guilty.”

And no, liberals, it’s not the “free market.” We have more than enough attorneys in this country.

The government is responsible for overpriced legal services? Bwahahaha! Yes indeed, it’s those price controls at work.

And an abundance of lawyers would drive down the price in a free market, bozo. Since there are no price controls on legal services, to what do you attribute the high cost — which in Mr Pee Land means you can run out on a bill that you don’t feel like paying.

    Endless entertainment from the VAtroll.

You people do TCDon a disservice. He didn’t pass the bar exam, he just passed a bar!

  11. Veritas says:

Giuliani is just a typical mafioso thug – making side deals with prosecutors to keep his name out of it all? This man is perhaps sicker than the Shrub. I cannot believe that he is the Repuke frontrunner. Tells you plenty about the moral character of a typical republican these days.

  12. Veritas says:

By the election of 08, the term Republican will be synonymous with Thug! Republicans have become totally toxic individuals.

  13. Shayne says:

Hey TCDon it’s your fellow Rethug complaining about you lawyers not one of us.

    Newsflash = Mr. President

Take it up with him you guys are Off Topic.

  14. Lefty Patriot says:

You used to have little credibility. Now you have none.

    Comment by TCDon — October 31, 2007 @ 10:57 pm

He should join your firm, you liar. You started with no credibility, so you have nothing to say about anyone else’s. You have no standing. You’re a shallow, bottom-of-your-class shill, on your good days.

  17. VerbalKint says:

Rudy the cross-dresser and his creepy mob-connected friends are going to be funnier than a barrel of monkeys if Rudy gets the nomination.

  18. The Shadow says:

Someone called Rudy Gouliani and they have it just about right. This guy is nothing more than a tin horn dictator who would be even worth than Bush. If the American people are stupid enough to vote for a man who lie at the drop of a hat, then they deserve exactly what they’d get. A short, good for nothing, two timin’ low down, ahole who leaves his wives like a bad habit, doesn’t care about his kids idiot. Gouliani has so many friend in the organization, they own him. He’s the mobs first and best hope for turning this country into a cash cow.

If any Republican thinks he’s a conservative, then they’d better stop smoking crack. I mean come on this guy is the worst thing that could ever happen to us. If he becomes President I’m moving to Canada.

  19. TexasLawyer25 says:

TCDon is a fraud. Any perceived insults directed toward him on this board would be libel, not slander. Any first year law student knows that. He probably sits in his robe and posts all day — no way he’s a lawyer, and he sure as hell isn’t working at any law firm.
