Yes, we’ve been “making progress” since the beginning of the war, including a “mission accomplished” moment. Funny thing, this year has already seen more Americans killed than any other year of the war. Our troop level has never been higher. Baghdad has lost 2 million in population through ethnic cleansing and refugee migration. That sure gives a new meaning to the word “progress” It reminds me in the business world where problems and issues are now described as opportunities.

We are now in a world where good news is good news and bad news is good news. Mission accomplished.

Is it too much to ask for a U.S. President to know that, in this sentence, the word “tyranny” does NOT merit an indefinite article?

He should be impeached just for his mangling of the language.

Perhaps he said “tyranny” but meant “tranny.”

…comes flooding into mind when hearing this uttered from Bushie of how thankful the Iraqi’s are in quest for freedom that presume there IS an innate acceptability to mass suicide of sorts being acceptable or somehow preferable for their slaughter continues and only seems to worsen and wonder cuz survivability usually is THE prime motivation of folks and where the “give me liberty or give me death” is a nice platitude, many have found it a suicidal postion and figure that there have to be alternatives for liberty with out life serves none either–the ol’ eye for an eye leaves all blind bit.(and Georgie boy sure has blinded far too many and we ordinaries get stuck with the consequences of his blunderings, bumblings and bunglings while he continue to escape accountability !!!)

right. thank god Palestinians got democracy, look at the great government they chose. Rodger is Iraq having a government like Palestines something worth our soldiers lives? Of course they love the freedom to get car bombed, freedom to have 2 hours of electricity a day when they used to have 20, freedom to be ethnically cleansed from previously diverse neighborhoods, freedom to become refugees in Syria or Jordan or internally in another part of the country.

we went into Iraq under P.L. 107-243.
Our goals were to stop Iraq being a continuing threat to the US (which it never was to begin with) and to get Iraq to obey UN Security Council resolutions.
Both of these goals have been reached. In addition the Commander-in-Chief declared victory more than once. This war has been over for 4 years.
Our troops in Iraq are occupying a conquered country by consent of the occupied.

Perhaps you’re confusing things with the war against the guys who supported the guys who attacked the US on 9/11.
This would be P.L. 107-40. Nobody seems to be talking about this war so I can’t tell you how it’s going.

Or maybe you’re thinking of the GWOT, which is undeclared and therefore unconstitutional.

Oh, he’s gone worse than terribly wacko. Notice no one wrote the response down FOR him so of course he can’t put out an intelligent sentence. I can’t stand the sight of him and the fact that our so-called government hasn’t done anything to stop him by now has me wanting to cry myself to sleep at night. Of course, all the current Presidential candidates (except Ron Paul) is bought and paid for by the Greedtard big Corporations, who also own the lame-stream media. ‘Shrub’ stole the election and we’d better pray something is done before another 9/11 ‘event’ happens and Cheney’s Blackwater (under Martial Law of course), starts driving up our streets in tanks, just like they’re doing in Iraq.
