With all this anti-Bush sentiment, this might make everyone feel a bit better:

And I encourage you to check out LoveTheConstitution.com: they have some hilarious Liberal apparel, like "Impeach Bush and Cheney" messenger bags with their goony, cartooned faces displayed on the front lapel.

The site:

Yes, we've been "making progress" since the beginning of the war, including a "mission accomplished" moment. Funny thing, this year has already seen more Americans killed than any other year of the war. Our troop level has never been higher. Baghdad has lost 2 million in population through ethnic cleansing and refugee migration. That sure gives a new meaning to the word "progress" It reminds me in the business world where problems and issues are now described as opportunities.

We are now in a world where good news is good news and bad news is good news. Mission accomplished.

"If you lived in Iraq and had lived under a tyranny, you'd be saying: God, I love freedom, because that’s what’s happened."

Is it too much to ask for a U.S. President to know that, in this sentence, the word "tyranny" does NOT merit an indefinite article?

He should be impeached just for his mangling of the language.

Perhaps he said "tyranny" but meant "tranny."

It looks like he had a few "pops" before this load of crap came spewing from this mouth.

He's probably roaming the Halls of the White House at night drunk out of his mind. Paranoid. Guilty Conscience.

Very Nixonesque.

...comes flooding into mind when hearing this uttered from Bushie of how thankful the Iraqi's are in quest for freedom that presume there IS an innate acceptability to mass suicide of sorts being acceptable or somehow preferable for their slaughter continues and only seems to worsen and wonder cuz survivability usually is THE prime motivation of folks and where the "give me liberty or give me death" is a nice platitude, many have found it a suicidal postion and figure that there have to be alternatives for liberty with out life serves none either--the ol' eye for an eye leaves all blind bit.(and Georgie boy sure has blinded far too many and we ordinaries get stuck with the consequences of his blunderings, bumblings and bunglings while he continue to escape accountability !!!)

who needs clean water when you can have an ice cold glass full of the abstract concept of freedom, or a purple finger cocktail. there was PLENTY of moisture from the ink...

>Fighting for ones right to freedom against Saddam is a very noble fight.

right. thank god Palestinians got democracy, look at the great government they chose. Rodger is Iraq having a government like Palestines something worth our soldiers lives? Democracy, in the wrong environment, has the potential to be its own undoing within one election cycle... of course the trolls here insist military force of an occupying power can bring about the "right environment" for democracy to spawn a non-extremist government. Just ask the Israelis..

Of course they love the freedom to get car bombed, freedom to have 2 hours of electricity a day when they used to have 20, freedom to be ethnically cleansed from previously diverse neighborhoods, freedom to become refugees in Syria or Jordan or internally in another part of the country.

Oh, and the purple fingers too. Can't forget that.

Actually if you were Burmese/Myanmarese, you'd be saying "Empty skies"--Buddhists don't believe in a God--"I love freedom." Problem is while Iraq has oil they have a lot of gas. So all they get in return is more hot air (see roughgang.com).

Hate to be such a buzzkill, but how many posters here voted for Nader in 2000 because they believed Gore was just the “lesser of two evils” or that there was no difference between Bush and Gore or possibly that there was “no difference between the two major parties?

Hate to be an even bigger buzzkill, but how many posters here think they voted for Gore in 2000 but in reality had their vote not count?

Hint: If you're black or non-Cuban Hispanic, this is probably you...

#8 -

we went into Iraq under P.L. 107-243.
Our goals were to stop Iraq being a continuing threat to the US (which it never was to begin with) and to get Iraq to obey UN Security Council resolutions.
Both of these goals have been reached. In addition the Commander-in-Chief declared victory more than once. This war has been over for 4 years.
Our troops in Iraq are occupying a conquered country by consent of the occupied.

Perhaps you're confusing things with the war against the guys who supported the guys who attacked the US on 9/11.
This would be P.L. 107-40. Nobody seems to be talking about this war so I can't tell you how it's going.

Or maybe you're thinking of the GWOT, which is undeclared and therefore unconstitutional.

Almost five years, 3857 U.S. troop deaths, and more than 76,000 Iraqi civilian deaths later, Bush can’t figure out why Iraqis aren’t jumping around rejoicing in their freedom. (Maybe it’s because they’ve all left the country.)
---------

No, it's because this President is DELUSIONAL!

Admitting the harm he has done to the Iraqi people is not what a rich fraternity brat who doesn't have to say I'm sorry is prone to do.

No wonder the story about him is how he would "blow up frogs with firecrackers".

Ask a psychiatrist what such an action says about the character of a child and what percentage of adult psychopaths were cruel to animals when they were children.

Oh, he's gone worse than terribly wacko. Notice no one wrote the response down FOR him so of course he can't put out an intelligent sentence. I can't stand the sight of him and the fact that our so-called government hasn't done anything to stop him by now has me wanting to cry myself to sleep at night. Of course, all the current Presidential candidates (except Ron Paul) is bought and paid for by the Greedtard big Corporations, who also own the lame-stream media. 'Shrub' stole the election and we'd better pray something is done before another 9/11 'event' happens and Cheney's Blackwater (under Martial Law of course), starts driving up our streets in tanks, just like they're doing in Iraq.

If you'd like to see more progressive news (if not a bit of humor at Shrub's expense) take a look at http://www.smirkingchimp.com/

I see more and more articles like this one every day and all I can say is God Help Us. And GO RON PAUL rEVOLution 2008!
