Well, the Republicans had to have offered LIEberman something for him to switch horses. LIEberman knows that there is zero chance he will be re-elected, so there has to be some incentive for him to have become so rabidly right wing on so many issues.

LIEberman for GOP VP is a great idea:

Virtually everyone hates lying Joe except for the wingnuts;
he’s a loony crackpot warmongering skank like all the GOP candidate
he should be put out to pasture in the next Congress when democrats get a LIEberman-proof majority…might as well flame out all gory.

Sounds like a win all around to me.

McCain/Lieberman? they’ll be ucky to win one state. It’s a perfect pair, for a Dem landslide. In fact, Kerry could run another of his robotic campaigns and win in a walk. Check below, I’d had a feeling for a while that McCain and Lieberman had made a deal, and now that McCain is all but out of the race, here come the neocons to try and rescue Lieberman. I can’t wait for the staffers w/ knowledge of all this to start talking about this to Bob Woodward. I don’t think any writers pre-dated my assertion below.
