Over the past year, ThinkProgress has utilized your financial support to make key improvements:
– We’ve increased the number of postings to become a cutting-edge site that you turn to first for breaking information and fresh analysis.
– We recently introduced a new user-friendly comments registration system to restore decency in our comments threads.
– We launched a Blog Fellows Program, which offers paid opportunities for members of our community to directly contribute to the front-page of ThinkProgress.
But now, we need you more than ever to help maintain our continued success. Over the next two weeks, we will be posting “ThinksGiving” commentaries from a few of our valued readers who — like many of you — have come to depend on ThinkProgress for their daily dose of progressive news.
As you know, we rarely ask our readers for contributions. The reason we are doing so now is because we have some big plans for 2008, and we can only accomplish them with your assistance.

I would like to contribute, but with my daughter’s college costing so much, I have 135 dollars for food and gas for two weeks after bills are paid… :-O

I second that. I’m all for free speech and hearing both sides of debates. But when every 2nd post is something moronic, off topic and totally without substance then the comments section of this site becomes meaningless at best, annoying at worst.

As I have been advocating for quote a while now, TP could accomplish all of these goals easily by implementing SlashCode. Such a project could be knocked out in a weekend.
November 13th, 2007 at 3:51 pmOver the past two years I make it a daily pilgrimage to visit, read, and participate at TP. Given I do use it I am inclined to contribute $$ as we all have bills to pay. Do you, or, should I ask are you willing to show your P&L statement. Not so interested in who contributes like Hillary Clinton but how is the money spent and what is the budget?
I love the blog and am curious to see how you spend the priorities. Thank you.
