The right-wing website Blogs For Bush is no more as of this week. The site has announced that it is changing its name to Blogs For Victory. A possible explanation for the name change? “Falling ratings that seem to coincide with their President’s popularity.” A comparison:

Bush = LOSER
November 14th, 2007 at 5:42 pmsee? even the trolls don’t read their own stuff.
they come to “think progress” to get the truth.
November 14th, 2007 at 5:42 pmps – a real drop off during apr ‘07 through jul ‘07, eh?
November 14th, 2007 at 5:44 pmTrolls don’t read anything, they just make sh!t up in their head, post it and Think Progress let’s it stay on their blog.
November 14th, 2007 at 5:44 pmCut ‘n’ run cowards. If they had any guts they’d stand by their Fearless Leader in his time of need. Yellow-bellied cut ‘n’ run cowards.

November 14th, 2007 at 5:54 pmThere is no honor among thieves. When the going gets tough, they cut and run. Let’s all laugh at them for the fools they are.
November 14th, 2007 at 5:54 pmNo wonder the trolls come here – their blogs suck – they’re unpopular – and they’re backing a loser.
November 14th, 2007 at 5:58 pmI though “Blogs for Bush” was a porn site…
November 14th, 2007 at 6:00 pmoh, BUSHâ„¢ is gonna punish ‘em for that.

It’s safe to say if the domain is available, it will be.
November 14th, 2007 at 6:02 pmThe bushes in my yard want to be called “tree impaired” anything but Bush.

November 14th, 2007 at 6:03 pmWhy do neocons need a blog for anyway? Its not as if they think for themselves. Neocons like to be told what to think and then they just keep repeating it like a parrot.
I imagine this “blog” is going to have a lot of pictures so the visitors there aren’t confused by having to read actual words.
November 14th, 2007 at 6:04 pmBlogs For Victory sounds like a rehash of Bush’s 4 year “Mission Accomplished” speech.
November 14th, 2007 at 6:06 pmBlogs for Victory….
Victory over what? Specifically.
November 14th, 2007 at 6:24 pmI love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like…
November 14th, 2007 at 6:24 pmYikes. Even “Blogs for Bush” ain’t for Bush anymore.
Do i hear 15% approval?
November 14th, 2007 at 6:47 pmExcuse me for being literal here: but isn’t ‘blogs for bush’ only useful if bush is president? doesn’t ‘victory’ mean the election and not the current administration? just askin’…… to read it that they dumped bush for the next election is silly, funny… mind you… but silly…
November 14th, 2007 at 7:10 pmThis is from Blogs for Victo(r)y (and someone please explain what the hell that (r) means in this context:

November 14th, 2007 at 7:15 pmFred Thompson’s campaign lashed out at Mitt Romney Wednesday after one of Romney’s key supporters suggested Thompson’s recent endorsement by the anti-abortion National Right to Life Committee was traded for cash.
Food fight! sorry OT.
November 14th, 2007 at 7:21 pmBlogs For Victorying Victorious Victory!
November 14th, 2007 at 8:18 pmAt least Blogs 4 Brownback hasn’t cut and run yet.
November 15th, 2007 at 9:01 amYes, a blog meant to help Bush in the 2004 election is clearly still relevant, when he only has one year left to go in his last term. Think Progress, creating issues out of the ether on a daily basis.
Ah. So Nightline, a news show begun during the Iranian Hostage Crisis, should have been taken off the air after it was resolved.
Similarly, Blogs for Terri should shut itself down since she’s dead, and Annie Jacobsen’s blog should be similarly defunct now that she’s run out her fifteen minutes of fame.
But just keep telling yourself it isn’t about Bush and his dismal ratings.
