It occurred to me that I should probably leave a comment a little more on topic, so I’ll say this: I’ve had friends who served over in Iraq and one in particular did not make it back. She was a single mom and because of the fact that she went into the Army with the intent of serving a country that she loved so much, this war made an orphan of her child. For Blair to all-of-a-sudden figure out that somewhere, after all this time, he found a little remorse is of little comfort to those who actually suffered the losses of family members, friends, loved ones and neighbors. The war in Iraq was conceived on absolute b.s., and this Administration knows it and still chooses arrogance while making photo ops with our troops as props in the background. It is the patriotism of this Administration that should be called into question, not those who see through their lies, deception, deceit, manipulation and war crimes. I hope to High Heaven Above that a day will come when they will receive the justice they so richly deserve for squandoring our nation’s most precious gifts: the lives of those who demonstrated the courage to serve in places where angels fear to tread, because those who point them in the direction to go and fight don’t have the courage God gave a mouse.

In response to “Tom in Maine” (post #14), PLEASE don’t refer to the global excuse that the United States is enduring as President as a “cowboy.” Truth be known, he was BORN in your State! I live in Texas, and most of the Texans I know DON’T WANT HIM! He’s giving cowboys (and cowgirls, for that matter) a bad name, just as he is polarizing the United States in the global community.

However, we are in agreement on your sentiment, and I’ll be looking for the docudrama you mentioned. 2009 can’t get here soon enough. Shoulda thrown the bums out a long time ago (and most certainly before our troops started dying for oil).

Nice story but if you followed the truth we know Blair was paid big time for his poodle walk. Yes his son got a good job with the White House and Tony was paid with money and his UN job. So all this talk now is to late for those who know the truth. It’s all about the money trail and Tony did very well in that department. For proof Americans should look at the 9 Trillion dollar debt in the US Treasury. Tony is a smart man and he knew his loyalty was worth alot, he knew he had to sell out the UK people and he did.

Tony Blair was the backbone of the world when we had a president who was getting serviced in the oval office. As for wanting to go to war in Iraq, he was on the same page as GW, Dick Chaney and Hillary.

The problem with the war is our soldiers hands are tied. If any of you idiots would talk to a soldier you would realize things would be a lot different if the rules of engagement were changed. It’s common sense.

Little touted is the fact that Tony Blair unlike most brits is a essentially a born again christian. I suspect that is the major reason that he supported George Bush’s war to take out Sadaam Hussein. All part of getting us all aligned for armagedon. Probably a good idea to vet leaders for those kinds of thoughts. While in general if some one believes this kind of nonsense it is relatively harmless and one can be tolerant but in leaders it is absolutely devastating.
