Seriously, though, there was talk about Mukasey wanting to get her out of there. The jury’s still out on Mukasey, but if he doesn’t do anything else, I think he’s at least going to fix some of the more dysfunctional parts of the DoJ. And, Paulose’s office is one of the worst.

Let me get this straight. She is leaving to work for the Justice department, and Mukasey is being asked to investigate her performance in Minneapolis. Is that right? Does anybody see the lack of logic here?

The second update, the link to Eric Black’s blog, is worth reading. He reports that another mass resignation was under discussion in the office today. It sounds to me like DOJ had to do an emergency extraction of Paulose before another embarassing mass resignation occurred.
