#72 – i don’t think it was either rude or asinine, it is just the opinion of how the rest of the world views what is going on in the US and the lack of protest action.

comparing to the germans is fairly far fetched, but at least the german population admitted their guilt, something i doubt most americans are willing to do.

but be all of that as it may – i have a real solution for you – go to http://www.nationalinitiative.us and vote if you want real change in the US and the world – now that would be really putting your money where your mouth is.

you’re all great at writing little online comments about how you were all wronged, but where the hell were you when it was time to get out on the streets in the hundreds of thousands and fight for your beliefs and impeach that -expletive-. bush and co. were able to do what they wanted because americans have been dumbed down to the point of inaction. these little online sites have just been provided to you as a means to let you vent your frustrations, nothing more – no effect comes of it and no action. Bush was wrong, but in the eyes of the world, it’s the American population let it all happen.

I remember when the uni crowds and the public STOOD UP AND TOOK TO THE STREETS IN OVERT ACTION TO STOP THE WAR.(deliberate caps for emphasis)

As an older REAL AMERICAN, I challenge all of you who love your country to get up and DO THE SAME RIGHT THING THAT THEY DID.

If all of you in the audience had stood up and blocked the hired pigthugs, it would have been all but impossible to abuse their 1st Amend rights by “arresting’ them.
They cannot do it to all of you at the same time.

Allow this dirtbag to move its mouth and BOO & HECKLE each statement.

Some of us are getting a little old to get up and fight with you and, some of us have already done our time.

You mean like claiming the Geneva Conventions are “quaint?” You mean like not understanding that his job as Attorney General was to protect the laws and interests of the United States and not the personal interests of his boyfriend George W. Bush? How about taking orders from Karl Rove to stack the Justice Department with Republican Bush loyalists for political reasons alone? Something like that cause you to believe he’s just a bit inept?

Your idea of “inept” is a true American’s idea of treason.

By the way, Janet Reno hasn’t been Attorney General for a long, long time. So why don’t we keep things in the present instead of pulling the time-tested Republican tactic of saying “look over there!” in order to deflect attention from the complete failure of the Republican party and flunkies like Alberto G.

Why don’t you save you feeling of being appalled for how your dear George W. Bush has decimated our country. Because Bush’s actions are truly appalling. Instead you want to feign astonishment that citizens of this country are finally waking up and seeing these Republicans for the crooks they are.

I’m no fan of welfare either, but I’d rather see our money spent taking care of the citizens of this country, and ensuring our infrastructure is state of the art, instead of spending our money on a war of choice that benefits no one, and kills our troops and innocent civilians.

Need more tax money? How about we collect from the top 1% income earners in this country who your dear George W. Bush gave all the tax breaks to, instead of raping the middle class.

Gonzales was inept at some things, but no more so than many of his predecessors, e.g. Janet Reno. However, I am appalled at the emotional, vitriolic (i.e. irrational) responses towards the A.G. For example, under what statute would Gonazales be considered a “war criminal”? That’s ridiculous. If you really hate Bush so much for attacking Iraq, then you better blame every member of Congress that saw the evidence and supported it (unless of course they have the idiotic, spineless response of “I voted for it before I voted against it”). If you truly hate the Dept. of Defense, take heart, the 2007 Federal welfare budget is about 20% more than the Dept. of Defense budget, had a more than two-fold increase versus the Dept. of Defense, and consumes almost $700B annually. We could pay of the national debt in a few years if people would go to work, father’s would support their families, and our border and employment laws were enforced. Lastly, if you think more taxes are a good thing, there’s nothing keeping you from paying more.

Remember, Bush’s think-tank library will employ historians that will whitewash the whole administration’s criminality and rewrite history. The University should be embarrassed at inviting this dishonorable person to speak. I am proud of the protestors; their defiant stand is the last refuge for persons who support the Constitution and the word of law.
Maybe those who advocate the throwing of rotten tomatoes have a good idea there – after Gonzo is pelted off the stage, and the curtains, stage, equipment, etc. all require hours of labor to clean up, the number of those inviting traitors to address their audiences will be non-existent.
