I have a far simpler reason–and it’s one the Right should agree on:
Karl rove is not a writer.
You pay Karl Rove for a column, you’ll get one written by an assistant that Karl will maybe glance at.
You’d get the same result if you got Donald Trump to write a real estate column.

TIME magazine can feel the presure of the sea change. It knows how people around the globe are buying less and less of their cra… So what do they do?! To paint some kind of righteous media image, it regects a guy who should be behind barrs. TIME should republish it editorials and articles of 2003 about WMD, MUSHROOM CLOUDS AND YOU NAME IT!!!!

A little insight from TIME’s party at YKos.

Bill Kristol will no longer be a contributor to TIME.

After a few cocktails, and an unsuccessful though diligent effort to second-source it, I got this response to my question of, “Am I the only person that cancelled my (20 yr+) subscription because you hired Bill Kristol?”

“No.”

We shall see. Do not underestimate your own power.

I, too, have been a lifelong subscriber to Newsweek for the same reasons as you. Today’s magazine is not the same as it was 15 years ago. I still prefer it over Time, but it sure isn’t held in the same esteem by me as it once was.

Wow, that surprises me, I would have thought it would be the other way around. Time is a very conservative newsweekly and Newsweek isn’t exactly liberal, but they aren’t as conservative as Time. So Time did the right thing and Newsweek didn’t. I think I might change my subscription.

Time’s Matt Cooper was one of those who was given information and he nearly went to jail. Time must have paid plenty of $$ for their reporter’s legal defense. Incredibly, one of the rats behind the sordid story, Rove, actually approached Time for a job.

markos is educated, rove is a college drop out. markos created a progressive forum as a way to exchange ideas with the planet, rove smears anybody not towing the neocon line. markos encourages debate and communication, rove runs from the light of day. markos is relevant, rove is not.
