Our guest blogger is progressive radio host Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks.
If you don’t check Think Progress you better check yourself. I read TProg (that’s what the cool kids are calling it these days) to make sure I haven’t missed any of the important news stories because … if it’s not on Think Progress, it didn’t happen.

November 21st, 2007 at 1:52 pmI can’t help but wonder how cool Cenk would think “TProg” was if he was aware of the rampant censorship of Sibel Edmonds-related posts on the Waxman thread two days ago…
Cenk, if you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and pop on over there and take a peek. You can also see some spirited discussion of this latest quashing of free discourse over at TheZoo.
November 21st, 2007 at 2:49 pmahh thanksgiving. the day we celebrate the removal of the assets of other indigenous people for fun and profit. And the day we celebrate the near elimination of the culture that we make such a phony fuss about, our Native American People. The day we celebrate the theft of this country from it’s owners.
November 21st, 2007 at 3:55 pmpride sucks when you don’t have the foundation to understand it, but use it anyway. this is a holiday that should be eliminated as it is a racist pastime that also built in the death of turkeys.
when in the hell are we going to grow up as a nation? Why am I so often ashamed by what my fellow countryman take for granted?
Jesus Christ. Don’t get me wrong, I love TP as an info source, but this Cenk character has only demonstrated the same ignorance as anyone else who swears allegiance to ANY *SINGLE* source of info, be it The National Enquirer, FoxNews, MSNBC, or TP! Blind allegiance and sheep/lemming-like behavior is at the very root of the the mess this country’s in. I wish more people would learn to think for themselves … a talent that’s obviously sorely lacking in this country. It’s called Critical Thinking, and it’s easily googled.
Unfortunately, my beefing about this here is probably mostly like preaching to the choir. ;-)
November 21st, 2007 at 4:54 pmnemodomi, no one said it’s their ONLY source – just the first stop of the day, or the daily don’t miss. And Cenk’s show demonstrates he’s reading a lot more than TP alone.
By the way, I listen to the Young Turks while I get my TP fix with coffee every morning. Politics junkie heaven with a dose (or two or three) of caffeine.
November 21st, 2007 at 5:37 pmCandyce, re-read! “… if it’s not on Think Progress, it didn’t happen.” Now please take the time to THINK THINK THINK about what that says. Geeze do I have to spell out everything for ya?
November 21st, 2007 at 7:01 pmThe “cool kids” – what? Are we in junior high now? TProg – pfft….
Yeah, Think Progress (or TP when here with the choir) is one of our first stops in the …… when we get up.
November 21st, 2007 at 7:34 pmnemodomi sez:
Exactly. When you add to this the established history of censorship at “TProg”, the most recent and egregious example of course being the muzzling of several posters who brought up the uncomfortable subject of Sibel Edmonds in the Waxman thread.
Never forget that TP has an agenda…just as surely as Red State does.
November 21st, 2007 at 9:18 pmDamn those cool kids over at The Young Turks! Though seriously, you all need to take it down a couple notches and laugh everyonce in awhile…
