There was a gentleman, a former VA doctor, who quoted the same figure on a local radio show. He also said that it’s policy to claim inflated numbers of “enemy” casualties when U.S. forces take casualties of their own.

Quote: “If two of our guys get hurt, or killed, the pentagon claims 20 insurgents hurt, or killed, often when their has been no actual combat.”

It’s reminiscent of the Luftwaffe claiming twice their losses to keep Goering happy. As long as they were claiming a 2-1 ratio, Hermann could tell Hitler they were “winning”.

For some time I have also posted on another lie – the correct number of those that have died.
