Lott said he has no opportunities lined up at this time, but he floated the idea of perhaps returning to work for a Mississippi law firm.

He needs to hire a law firm outside of Mississippi (for quality and intelligence) based on the connections coming up between Sen Ted Stevens and his son Ben and the Corrupt Bastards Club and Trent himself!!!

Lott is going to prison if the DoJ is no longer corrupt!! Hhahaaahaa!!

Trent Lott’s departure just one year into his new term strikes me as a serious slap in the face to the voters of Mississippi. It is amazing to me that he would run in an election when he clearly had no intention of serving out his term. They just passed the pork-filled bill for Katrina reconstruction. Any guess as to which pork barrel is going to fund Mr. Lott’s retirement?

Of course it’s a kick in the pants to the Mississippi voters. But it’s not like Lott cares about them. The voters were only useful to him every six years. And now they won’t be needed by him at all — he’ll only be dependent upon corporate fat cats and other special interests willing to pay insane lobbying fees.

And Lott doesn’t even know (or care) how incredibly transparent he’s being. If I was a Mississippi Republican who voted for him, I’d be doing everything I could to trash him right now.
