This is like one of those illustrations from our youths. You know, the kind where you have to find hidden things.

With this article you have to find all the lies:

Perino lying that Bush doesn’t lie.

    The knowing Bush lie.

    The unknowing Bush lie.

    The McClellan unknowing lie.

    The Cheney black hole lies.

    See kiddies? Fun!

Wonder what Dana will whine about in her book, when the time comes?

  4. grover nerdkissed says:

did anyone ask her if BUSHâ„¢ has lied to her?

  5. Zappatero says:

well then, that settles it, eh?

  6. ralph the wonder llama says:

Grover, you bring up a good point. The controversy is about a former press secretary announcing that the president lied to him. The rebuttal comes from the current press secretary, who presumably was told by the president that he hadn’t lied to one of her predecessors.

That’s some strong evidence of not lying, right there, huh?

  7. Doc Rock says:

He says whatever words Cheney pipes into him while his lips move and there ain’t a lot of truth coming out of that ventiloquist.

  8. Leftside Annie says:

    Poor dear little deluded Dana.

And the Wolf never ate Granny, either – of course, he would *never* lie to poor Little Red Riding Hood……..

  10. missmolly says:

Bush wouldn’t lie to McClellan? What makes McClellan any more special than the rest of us? Everybody in Bush’s world is fair game for getting screwed unless it’s somebody Bush depends upon for power.

  11. SP Biloxi says:

Our favorite bubblehead WH press secretary is back today on the Daily Show with Dana Purina.

  13. StratRat says:

Dana Perina: Still perky, still a liar.

  14. missmolly says:

Is Perino lying through her teeth or is she just a naive idiot?

  15. Bobwurst says:

It’s the “Knowingly” and “false” modifers in that sentence that are key. Just like there’s almost always at least a modicum of doubt in everything, there’s ususally a modicum of truth in every lie. So if the bushistas are defining false as only those lies with no grain of truth bush didn’t lie. except in those instances when he did tell a complete and utter fabriction, but he didn’t know that they were complete lies, hence the “unknowing” part….

  16. Leftside Annie says:

14 – Miss Molly – um, BOTH…? (It IS possible in BizarroBushWorld.)

  17. Chris L says:

So, is she saying now that McClellan is lying?

  18. Menehune says:

…and you know that HOW, Dana? Oh yeah, Bush told you.

  19. rehbock says:

Plausible, he would have just let the others pass on the false information. He would do nothing to correct it.

  20. OxyCon says:

I bet Bush didn’t just lie to Dana Peroxide, either!
Bush is a man of “hiz werd”!
    His “werd” is hiz bond!

  21. Evergreen2U says:

So… he let others lie for him?
    Or
Was he a liar then and now?
    Or
What does “knowingly” really mean? …as in: I did not knowingly have lies with that person?

Will the real liar please stand down?

  22. CitiDC says:

    Ahem, who’s talking about “lying?”

The only thing Dana said was about “pass(ing) false information.”

No one said anything about lies.

  23. Zimzone says:

    22, CitiDC,
Knowingly passing false information is not lying? WTF? When did the

rules of life we all learned in Kindergarten change, and what planet

    are you living on?

  24. LividLib says:

Is Perino lying through her teeth or is she just a naive idiot?

a knave idiot perhaps, but not a naive idiot.

  25. screech says:

Did anyone in the press corp happen to notice if Perino’s fingers were crossed? Just asking.

  26. sacopenapa says:

OH YEAH… BUSH NEVER LIED!!!! AND SANTA CLAUS DOES EXISTIS!!! IS SHE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME WAR CRIMINAL THAT SPOKE TO THE WORLD ABOUT SADDAM HUSSEIN ALUMINIUM TUBES? WMD? AL-QUEIDA-IRAQ CONNECTION? MISSION ACOMPLISHED? DANA PERINO HAS A TERRIBLE JOB, SHE GETS PAYED TO LIE MORE FOR THE LIERS IN THE FSA’s (FACISTS STATES OF AMERICA) (FORMER USA) GOVERNMENT.

  27. RUCerious says:

Watch out Dana, evil leaves a stain.

  28. bellesouth says:

Bush has already lied to the American Press regarding the firing of Rumsfeld. He is a pathological liar.

  29. Proud American Liberal says:

Right Dana. Keep telling yourself that. It might help you sleep at night. Just remember, the favorite MO for Republicans is a knife in the back.

  30. Jackie says:

Scott isn’t a good liar and he showed it when he was Press Secretary. Dana wants Americans to believe that Bush wouldn’t lie when for 7 years that’s all he’s done. Scott was kicked out of his position and this is his pay back. Even Bush as much as said he lied when he told Americans any staff person who had anything to do with the leak would be fired. Karl Rove was up to his neck in this mess yet Karl continued. Dana is doing nothing more then the rest of the Criminal White House Press Secretary’s did lie for the Bush/Cheney Crime Team.

  31. Shayne says:

Really Dana if every time you open your mouth something stupid come out, maybe you’ve got the wrong job.

  32. EvilPoet says:

Dana Perino is not the brightest bulb in the package.

  33. RWeSafer says:

    So, whoIS lieing??!

    Someone has to be…

I am just glad that this story won’t go away — just as Bush ordered it to. “Nothing to see here.”

    Yeah, right…

  34. --Blue Girl says:

“Remember…It’s not a lie if you believe it.” George Costanza.

  35. Abby says:

“Remember Mr. Bush, It’s not a lie if you believe it”, said George Costanza.

  36. spyder says:

From what Dana said there are only two possible rational suppositions. Either George Bush is in fact a liar who knowingly deceived both Scott and now her, or George Bush is a complete dumbass who clearly has no idea what has happened, or is happening in his own administration. He seems to be taking his cues from Daddy who swore to the Iran-contra investigators that although he was in the room (while Ronny slept) when the conspiracy to violate various constitutional and federal restrictions were being discussed, he didn’t hear anything because he wasn’t paying attention (and you will never find any of his notes to prove otherwise–”damn, why didn’t we burn Caspar’s?”. Bush not paying attention and then lying about being inattentive, or Bush lying about complicity and blaming it on being a dumbass.
Dana maybe saying more than we give her credit for.

  37. Bobwurst says:

    Re 35-

can bush really be that dumb? As much as I’d like to give him credit for being so stupid that he doesn’t know what treason has been done in his name, I’m inclined to believe that he is a sociopathic liar of Biblical proportions. And yes, feel free to compare him to other sociopaths of Biblical scope.

  39. oldtree says:

    “eva braun speaks” good one.

the merino was actually referring to the presnit passing gas, nothing to see, move along

  40. Bobwurst says:

Maybe she meant Bush would lie WITH scotty. Now, Gannon, that’s a different kettle of fish…

  41. Jericho says:

Exactly how stupid does Miss Perino think her public is? People as herself can’t go two sentences without telling a lie and they all know it. They just refuse to know it for judicial reasons… Another great glitch in this splendid scamocracy we have going here. Saddam was never a treath but hey the Saudi’s are our allies. Bush has the worst economic record in history but hey our economy is strong. Income inequality is back to the level of the dark ages but hey tax cuts for the rich help everyone!

  42. tomazulob says:

Of course Bush didn’t lie to McClelland. He changed the definition for the word “lie.”

  43. Marie says:

Perino’s explanation is lame. It’s carefully chosen word – “knowingly” – is simply a weaselly way to lie and be able to say you aren’t lying.
The whole g.d. bunch of them are inveterate liars, incapable of telling the truth, because truth-telling is so foreign to their thought process. They are always guilty. They must lie as first response to any question; because anyone who asks them a question is suspect. A threat.

  44. Bluestocking says:

To anyone who believes any of this — I just so happen to know about this bridge across the East River that’s being put up for sale, and I’d be happy to help you put a bid on it. Real nice bridge, snappy design, very sturdy…

  45. zuch says:

“Perino said President Bush ‘has not and would not knowingly pass false information.’”

Did Dubya ask her to say that?

    Cheers,

  46. Tender Chicken says:

Note to Dana: Bush is already boinking Alberto and Condi. You might get your turn, but I wouldn’t count on it. Jeff Gannon’s still lurking. Foolish woman.
