Rep. Porter avoiding Bush.

Rep. Porter avoiding Bush.

Rep. Jon Porter (R-NV) said he’s not particularly interested in having Bush come to his district to campaign for him. “I think it depends on the time of the year, when it is,” Porter said tepidly, before briefly pausing to remind everyone, “The president is the president of the United States. I don’t always agree with him, but I’m also in a campaign.” The Las Vegas Sun’s Jon Ralson writes, “Stirring endorsement, that is, eh? It depends on the time of year? Yes, wouldn’t want the president to wilt in the summer heat, so that’s out. And in the fall, well, you never know where I might be then, right in the heat of the campaign, so I probably wouldn’t invite him.”

Yeah, well, Clinton ignores bush too…

    Both Republicans. Enough said.

  3. Lefty Patriot says:

Everybody ignores Bush except for his fellow traitors and the 24% (more traitors, actually).

  4. Shayne says:

Rudy will probably be clamoring for W to join him on the campaign trail. He loves a man with a fake southern accent.

he loves any man, any time, judging by his wardrobe and inability to identify which sex he belongs to. What a pervert!

Bush will be the democratic candidates biggest asset during the 2008 campaign.

  7. Chris L says:

Wasn’t there a story on TP recently where Karl Rove was admonishing candidates to keep their distance from Bush’s low approval ratings? This is why I still don’t understand Rudy’s open support of Bush. Even the greater majority of the right-wing is fed up with Bush. Rep. Porter is no idiot, you campaign with Bush, you flop.

The time of the year is best just shortly after his impeachment and just before his imprisonment. I don’t want the useless bastard any closer to Arizona than he is now. McPain is close enough for the both of them.

  13. TRDaggett says:

I think he meant to say “Which ever way the winds of opinion are blowing at that moment”.

Meanwhile the majority of the MSM still act like Bush isn’t the liar and criminal we know he and his co-conspirators are. Anyone with a shred of honesty/decency should treat him like he’s radioactive.

If the crimes of Bush and the rest aren’t redressed it will be the biggest travesty of justice in my lifetime not to mention a grotesque and perilous precedent set for the future.
