Your comment might just carry some weight were I a Democrat, which I am not.

You keep running away from the fact that Rove is now trying to re-write history, lying about the Bush administration’s push for a vote on a military action against Iraq back in 2002.

Or maybe your reading comprehension skills are a little lacking. Not surprising at all, coming from a 25%er.

. According to this buzz, Reagan, Bush and Bush are the geniouses who saved america from the Red menace and now Al Q. We have won Iraq. Mission Acccomplished; case settled.

This is not an innocent mistake. This is not his mouth outreaching his mind. This is an intentional; effort to confuse the facts in order to rewrite history.

So with all of that, I have to ask myself, “am I a terrorist”?

The President, Vice President, and their staff members can and do twist arms, threaten, and bribe members of congress to do anything they want–especially when the administration’s party controls the congressional agenda. For those of you who think 2002 was a looong time ago, just a reminder: The Senate and House were both Republican controlled and being actively manipulated by the “executive” branch–otherwise known as your dear leader and his friends.

I dont have any problems with conservatives that are for protecting the constitution, for fiscal responsibility and against empirical wars. Why the conservatives hooked up with the neo-cons is beyond me.

Rove is trying to spin away from the Bush/Straw decision to ignore the UN resolution 1441 and to begin the Iraq war. What Rove is talking about is moot.

On the 17th, speeches by Bush and UK foreign secretary Jack Straw explicitly declared the period of diplomacy to be over, as declared by Resolution 1441’s prohibition on giving Iraq new opportunities for compliance, and that no further authorization from the UN would be sought before an invasion of Iraq (see 2003 invasion of Iraq). The USA and Britain, while admitting that such a resolution was diplomatically desirable, insisted that Iraq had now been given enough time (noting also the time since the first disarmament resolutions of 1991) to disarm or provide evidence thereof, and that war was legitimized by 1441 and previous UN resolutions. Non-permanent Security Council member Spain declared itself with the USA and Britain. Nevertheless, this position taken by the Bush administration and its supporters, has been and still is being disputed by numerous legal experts. According to most members of the Security Council, it is up to the council itself, and not individual members, to determine how the body’s resolutions are to be enforced
