Wow, I haven't seen this before... a feeble, liver-spotted old codger, (probably) with a prostate the size of a coconut, more gums than teeth, doing his best to set the world on fire as he stumbles into his grave. The worms won't get you too soon, Norm.

Umm #18 RR I don't think the current president of Iran shut down the weapons program, check out when he was elected... Also by reading your other posts, it is painfully obvious that you have no clue as to the difference between nuke energy used for power production and nuke energy used for power projection, or rather utility grade uranium and weapons grade uranium. Here's a hint...weapons grade uranium is much much harder to produce.

Again RR #46 are you totally unaware of why congress has low approval ratings? It is mainly due to Republican obstructionism. Read up on this, people still support the democrats agenda, they disapprove of the way republicans are filibustering nearly everything at a record pace, and what they don't filibuster Bush Vetoes. Here is a cute little story for you.

I was recently in Washington for Tax seminar. One of the speakers was a lobbyist. He talked about this bill or that bill for a while and mentioned how one party (no names) wanted to keep congress tied up and unproductive for the rest of the session in order to help his party's chances in the 2008 elections. Later he talked about a particular revenue-neutral bill that would solve an issue positively for both the democrats and the republicans, a rare win-win situation. His group presented it to the minority leadership who rejected it outright on the grounds that they can not allow any positive bills to pass through congress. Nice. Way to go obstructionists, way to thwart the will of the people.

#66 how did the democrats obstruct congress when they were the minority? Please give some examples. Right now that is all the republicans do. If the dems used the same tactics a lot of the bills bush signed never would have existed. Perhaps you missed the news about how the republicans would hold committee meetings and completely shut out democrat input. I believe the chorus was we won the election, we get to decide what occurs. and from the gallery it was shut up and be ruled, we won let us have our way. Sorry, but you are dead wrong on your assertion.

Also anyone wonder who wrote this opinion and why it differs so wildly from the 2005 NIE? Who the heck wrote that one? My guess is the 2005 one was written by the same guys who gave the intelligence prior to invading Iraq.

So Iran is still actively building its nuclear capabilities. So this report means nothing and nothing has changed. I still hope for a diplomatic outcome but if they haven’t stopped yet, they truly are endangering the world and need to be stopped one way or the other.

Comment by Roger_Roger — December 4, 2007 @ 3:12 pm

Big difference between developing nuclear power for energy needs and developing nuclear weapons. Iran has been doing the former (and that's never been a secret), and according to the non-nuclear proliferation treaty, they may do so.

Now how are they "endangering the world"? I suppose that if they have a Chernobyl, that would possibly cause problems with a neighboring country if they build a power plant close to their border. But if having nuclear power plants is endangering the world, then we need to go to a new level of concern, because many countries have them.

10 people still support the Dem controlled congress? Don’t those 10 people read?
Comment by cold_hard_left

Do you know how to read? Have you bothered to look at any of the polls on Congress. It is true that this congress is polling low, but when you look at whether the person polled thinks the Republiscums are doing a good job, I believe the last time it was something like 20% or the Democrats doing a good job, this one was in the 30's. Overall no one is happy with Congress. Most people are unhappy that the Republiscums are obstructing everything (you do remember the Rebpubliscums screaming about an "up or down vote", don't you) and they are mad at the Democrats for allowing the Republiscums to get away with the obstruction. Then there are the 24%ers who are mad just because the Democrats are in control.

I really would like to see an in depth poll of people's opinions about Congress not just "do you think they are doing a good job". My bet is on, if the Democrats stopped letting the Republiscums get away with obstructing everything, that Congress and the Democrats in Congress polling numbers would soar.

Do you know how to read? Have you bothered to look at any of the polls on Congress. It is true that this congress is polling low, but when you look at whether the person polled thinks the Republiscums are doing a good job, I believe the last time it was something like 20% or the Democrats doing a good job, this one was in the 30’s. Overall no one is happy with Congress. Most people are unhappy that the Republiscums are obstructing everything (you do remember the Rebpubliscums screaming about an “up or down vote”, don’t you) and they are mad at the Democrats for allowing the Republiscums to get away with the obstruction. Then there are the 24%ers who are mad just because the Democrats are in control.

I really would like to see an in depth poll of people’s opinions about Congress not just “do you think they are doing a good job”. My bet is on, if the Democrats stopped letting the Republiscums get away with obstructing everything, that Congress and the Democrats in Congress polling numbers would soar.

So Iran is still actively building its nuclear capabilities. So this report means nothing and nothing has changed. I still hope for a diplomatic outcome but if they haven’t stopped yet, they truly are endangering the world and need to be stopped one way or the other.

Normally I don't respond to you because you are one of the dumber trolls on this site. But, I couldn't help myself. Do you really NOT understand the difference between nuclear power and a nuclear bomb? Are you really that stupid? They are working on nuclear power not a nuclear bomb. Do you get it now?

Back to ignoring the ignorant troll r2.

And, the one who is truly endangering the world is George W. Bush and his minions. The most terrifying thing in the world to me is the fact that Bush has control of the bomb. I really wouldn't put it past him to push the button just to see what it does.

Bilbo: I suspect it's the machinations of a senile brain from which Podhoretz's flights of fancy and fiction derive.

Yeah, Pukehortz - it's a conspiracy called "Uncovering The Truth", that's what kind of conspiracy it is. As for Podhoretz' demented ramblings of a senile brain, I'd suggest ginko biloba for starters and then some heavy psychotropic drug therapy. Looks like the neocon lies are catching up with them this time. Their house of cards is tumbling down, one card at a time. Soon, the emperor will be standing before us buck naked.
