What’s distressing here is that Newsweek is giving him a forum and the Financial Times published his op-ed.

Rove is one of the villians of American history, one of those responsible for ruining, among other things, our public discourse.

This discredited traitor should be in a corner talking to himself.

The man is without conscience and has shown nothing but contempt for the American People since he started trashing Dubya’s opponents beginning with Ann Richards in Texas.

Some might be tempted to pity ol’ Turd Blossom as he struggles to remain relevant, but he has done too much damage and has treated the Truth as his own personal plaything for far too long to merit anyything but scorn. Not only should he be protested against, he shuld be shunned. And he should be laughed at whenever possible. When Rove was still facing possible criminal charges, a Boston Globe columnist suggested that he “keep his chins up.” I wish I’d said that.

Rove’s sins are many, but I’ll close with the one I think most vile, that shoulds not be forgotten. Several years after 9/11, before a friendly crowd (of course), he suggested that while conservatives were ready to fight the terrorists, liberals wanted to understand them and give them therapy. The press focused only on the inaccuracy of the claim. What needs to be recognized is the utter cowardice of his words. Why did he wait four years to say it? Why indeed. And what about the heroes who died that day, might not some of them have been liberal? And wasn’t Bush’s main ally in Iraq Tony Blair of the Labor Party? The press should have nailed the little worm and Bush should have been pressured to publicly admonish him. This, of course, didn’t happen. And now, the Honorable Mr. Turd Blossom is trying to rewrite history. The mind reels.

I think Time magazine is finding it difficult to find someone to defend the Rightâ€™s agenday otherwise why pick Rove ? His reputation is dispicable, right down there with his love Bush.

Good point. Rove was supposed to have resigned but he just can’t stay away because Bush is sinking like a stone. Isn’t it pointless to try to cover for Bush at this stage of the game? Just more empty threats from thin-skinned Rove.

Isn’t that why he “resigned”?
Also, like I’ve said a million times, none of these Bushies will ever be able to show their faces in public for the rest of their miserable lives without feeling the wrath of the American people, and that’s a beautiful thing!
These bastards deliberately divided our country for their own political benefit, derisively ridiculed more than half the country and would only appear before well screened, highly partsian right wing audiences.
Now that they don’t have the luxury of having the Secret Service kick out American citizens from their public appearences, they are getting a good dose of their own medicine.
I hope nitwit Bush is paying close attention to what is in store for him. Gone-zo, Rummy and Rove aren’t faring too good at their public appearences. The only places they are welacome are hard core right wing extremist organizations.
What a pity.
But remember one thing, this is their own doing. They wanted it this way.

Does this mean that Rove is attempting to paint Bush as a man wildly popular with his own party, and to diss him would be political suicide?

Or is this an actual threat — meaning, “disrespect Bush and we will ruin you with all the blackmail material Darth Cheney has gathered on you.”?
