I suppose we should take the latest NIE at face value since we’ve never received incorrect information from our govt and Iran is such a peace loving nation that never threatens the existence of other nations. No reason for skepticism for the time being. ;)

The most recent poll at Rassmussen was back in March, and 40% favored military action.

Regardless, of course Iran wants a nuclear weapon. Remember the axis of evil? Why didn’t we go after North Korea, despite them being the most hostile to the US and having the greatest WMD threat? Because they have nuclear weapons (and of course, no oil). Iran does want this deterrent. Still, they are negotiable. They’ve shown that they will delay getting a nuclear weapon if the west is willing to provide them with other benefits.

It’s already starting. Iran will not sell oil in dollars. Pretty soon no oil rich nation will sell to us in dollars. Bush, by his trying to be the “king of the hill” and the biggest bully has done this nation so much harm I’m not sure we will ever recover.

And, please ignore the new trolls flinging their feces on the wall. They are the new breed who have been sent here to post something really outrageous so that Billo and his ilk can point to TP and say “see what these people are saying, they are all traitors”. These trolls are transparent to us, but if we give them credence by responding to them, we are falling into their trap.

During the December 3, 2007 news conference, George W. Bush stated, in part, “[The report] says Iran had a covert nuclear weapons program. What’s to say they couldn’t start another covert weapons program?”

Notice that he used the word “had” (which is past tense) not has. So, Bigfoot, are you saying that W is a liar and that most of the United States citizens don’t believe him?
