NBC reverses course, plans to run Freedom’s Watch ad.
After rejecting an ad by the group Freedom’s Watch which NBC claimed was too political, the network reversed course today. In a statement issued Saturday evening, NBC said: “We have reviewed and changed our ad standards guidelines and made the decision that our policy will apply to content only and not to a referenced Web site. Based on these amended standards the Freedom’s Watch ad will begin to run as early as Sunday.”

December 9th, 2007 at 12:07 amIn a response straight out of the Republican play book, Freedom’s Watch President get his way and then claims NBC has an agenda. I saw the ad on another network earlier this week. It’s ingeniously disguised as a happy holiday message to the troops. You can bet the farm that NBC was informed that others agreed to air it. They certainly told nicely that they wouldn’t want word to get out of their refusal to broadcast any holiday message honoring the troops.
A very clever play. Underestimate this nest of neocons at your peril.

In fact, if you dare to opine about anything that deviates from their version of reality, you will be banned for having the temerity to think for yourself rather than drink their kool-aide! At least here, you are only banned when you violate the “Terms of Use”. At conserva-sites, opinions are only valid if they repeat what they already say, nothing more allowed.
