White House pressured EPA to weaken toxin report.

According to an upcoming GAO report, the White House “pressured the Environmental Protection Agency to weaken requirements that companies annually disclose releases of toxic chemicals,” meaning that “industry will have to file 22,000 fewer reports each year, reducing an important public monitoring tool on industrial emissions.”

The pigheaded Bushies worship the almightly dollar; profits trump everything – even the health of their own families.
We know they don’t care about the rest of us – but they don’t care about the children of the future, even their own descendants.
Do they think the profits from their interests in these corporations will protect them?

The Bush White House has always had the position that if the facts don’t fit the propaganda, they’ll just change them until they do.

And they wonder why we don’t believe anything that comes out of that criminal cesspool.

Businesses will file 22,000 fewer reports each year.

Holy Sh*t, how many tens of thousands do they file now.

How many are redundant or meaningless.

It says the industry will file 22k less reports. Not each company in the industry. For the industry as a whole that doesn’t sound like that much.

What is the cost to businesses and tax payers dealing with worthless reporting.

How do you know it’s worthless? What the Bush administration is trying to do is loosen up regulations on industry polluters. That’s rarely a good thing.

Is there a private watchdog group monitoring these deadly chemical emissions being that the White House isn’t doing it’s constitutional duty to protect the public from poisons? If not, some group needs to find out exactly what 22,000 reports will be missing from which companies and lobby those companies to volunterally release their pollution statistics to the public.

It’s time that the public has an online database watchdogging these and all polluters so that we can demand changes in technologies and be able to boycott those comany’s products that refuse to clean up.

How can people vote for these definitively Fascist Corporate Politicians who are continually running our country into the ground. How can you “values” voters just ignore the hundreds of thousands of people who are killed prematurely because of pollution and the lack of safety inspections. Wake Up People! It’s industry that will kill us long before any terrorists will. And sending our pollution over seas to pollute and kill the Chinese or the Mexicans isn’t a moral or ethical solution either.

Every pollution has a solution. It’s called spending a few more cents on the dollar for cleaner methods of production. God Save Us From Ourselves!
