If you want to get rid of a problem you have to <em>strike at the root</em>. If you don't pull a weed up by the root what happens? I just don't get it. Once the primaries are over, the people need to move their registration as Independent which is the ONLY way to bring the power back to the people. Just as the special interest groups believe they have these lawmakers "in their pocket", so does the GOP and DNC. Shifting the power back to the people by their lack of party affiliation will mean that the people will hold sway over the candidates this time around.
