Global warming on the other hand doesn’t really qualify as a theory because it has to be disprovable and I see over and over that wording such as “its a closed case” its “undeniable” and anyone that questions it is basically a lunatic or a right wing nutjob.

Michael Crichton, a PHD, who is far from a lunatic and is a pretty intellgent guy, wrote a book called A State of Fear regarding the global warming craze. That is what we are in, a state of fear.

I look at a single graph, Temperature versus CO2 concentration. I’m an engineer. I look at data. The graphs show Temperature increasing first, then CO2 concentrations. When I’m at work looking at data, I look for correlations. Something happens first, then something fails. A guy does maintenance, then the tool fails. I have enough sense to know that the tool failing did not cause the maintenance.

Another issue which seems to be skirted by the wayside is global warming since the ice age. Men were not around burning carbon since the ice age. Yet, no one wonders what happened. How is it that temperature increased over that period without human intervention? Is it possible that the earth is not in thermal equilibrium and this is just part of the warming trend?

On the other hand, back in the Cretaceous, the earth was much warmer with much of the US covered by inland seas. Obviously, this wasn’t caused by humans unless you are one of the right wing nutjobs that believes the earth is 10000 years old.

Discounting that humans have caused global warming does not equate to discounting evolution. There are plenty of other factors which can warm the planet. Its an energy balance. The energy from the sun changes. Another theory might be that solar cycles affect the weather. It was just in the 70s, thirty years ago, that climatologists were clammering about the next Ice Age and it was based on climate data. Why are these same climatologists suddenly right?

Pro-Global warmers are emotionally and politically tied up into their theory. Climatologists are linked through money and peer pressure to ignore anything that would disrupt the flow of cash.

Its become a political issue, not a science issue and if you feel you are unwilling to discuss facts and the data and blithely dismiss counter arguments, then aren’t you just as guilty as the right wing nut jobs that point at the Bible and say evolution is a sham?

I implore you to look the data which contradicts your prized theory, look at the counter agruments and not be afraid that you might see something that causes your mind to click into gear. Even if you still think Global Warming is true, won’t you be a better person for it?

Don’t just accept the pundits, the actors amd the politicians/lawyers word for it that a one degree change will cause killer hurricanes just because somoene plugged it into a computer model that couldn’t even predict next weeks’ weather.

I know most of you are probably pretty ignorant about this since you talk about fact and theories in the same sentence.

In science, there is nothing that is a closed case. Everything is open to question and in my mind, from what I’ve seen, Global Warming is anything but a slam dunk.

Lastly, what is really sad is that you might be people that care about the environment but want to flush trillions down the drain on this.

Look at things that can be changed. Look at species extinction, preserving the amazon, protecting our water and oceans and yes, even protecting the air from pollution. But don’t waste your time with this one-degree change in temperature when you don’t even know whether going back to the stone age is going to even make a difference.

If Fox is sincere about educating the public,they could have interviewed a researcher,professor,or scientist in this field of Global Warming,regardless whether he agrees with Al Gore or not, for the sake of science and educating the public. The interviewr also has no knowledge of the field either. That’s how Fox operates…not to educate, but to inflame…

Fox interest is not educating the public, instead it is to lash at Al Gore..and to support GOP agenda..

I’m also certain the internet audience will be beating down your doors, when you reveal your groundbreaking critique. So far, I don’t think anyone in the “new media” has tried tackling the eath-shattering contention that “liberals” are, in fact, “moonbats, far on the fringe of “mainstream america”". You are sure to be a hit.

FOX has a tiny viership, compared to the networks, and its demographic is very waek in purchasing power. Colmes is not a liberal, he’s an actor, a clown. if I or any real liberal were hired to go up against Hannity, he’d be fired in a week. And if FOX were not blocked by so many thoughtful, patriotic households, its numbers wouldn’t be so puny comaparitively. To crow about FOX’s numbers compared to CNN and MSNBC is to point out the overall weakness of rightwing cable media, all competing with each other for the same small number of idiots and robots, like bigfoot. morons and traitors dominate the demographic of rightwing bullshit cable television, and FOX is the leader of the shitpile. no wonder idiots like bigfoot take so much pride, living in that shitpile themselves.

The Rockefeller/Zio-con element in Us/UK/Israel want to use military force as a way to achieve a One World Global fascist state. This is currently in effect. It is about Fear and ruining the image of democracy to get people to accept a harsher form of government that will take away liberty but provide order, a New World Order. The democracy movement in China and Hong Kong is gone. China says thank you. Even Taiwans President talked about declaring Martial Law recently .

The Rothchilds/Europe want to use Global warming to achieve a One World Global Socialist State. The Carbon tax is just a global income tax. Energy consumption growth correlates with national income growth. By limiting the wealth, the capital flows elsewhere.

Our way is to eliminate the wealth of the critters, which we are doing. Business is now exporting our capital to China and increasing their critters wealth. This is working well, so we do not care about Global Warming. Europes elite wants to accelerate their capital exports, but in their own way, which is War on Global Warming/Environment. I kind of like their way better.

Al Gore and Europe are Leaders, and were applauded at the conference, and the “American” delegation was mocked, derided, and shamed into flipping their position. Audio and video from the conference make the point un-debatable.

Bolten then, in a shocking demonstration of idiot-logic, perverted that into “the isolation” of Gore and Europe. No scintilla of credibility in the statement. No irony.

Finally, kilo, I have to wonder why we would peg our standards to other, inferior standards practiced overseas. I don’t let my yard deteriorate to the point that it matches the crappiest property on the block, simply because those neighbors maintain their property poorly.

We have to watch out for that “soft bigotry of low expectations”, don’t we?
