I am an active duty Soldier supporting Governor Huckabee who read this article on USA Today’s front page with great chagrin:

The article is entitled “Strategy That’s Making Iraq Safer Was Snubbed For Years” – something I can attest to after over 150 combat patrols in Baghdad in 2003-2004. Far be it from a mere enlisted man to judge DoD policy, but this article makes the case that it was the administration’s stubborness rather than a lack of good advice that lead to a misguided focus on killing insurgents and spending on technology from 2004-2006. The current counterinsurgency strategy is working well, but there is nothing new about it. We were using the same tactics in 2003 until we were mysteriously ordered off the streets and into super bases, which the counterinsurgency manual condemns. Bottom line: Governor Huckabee’s criticism of the administration’s policy, not the president himself, resonate with this noncommissioned officer and OIF vet.

Wait a minute. Romney owes me an apology. I am a Catholic and he claims that Jesus is his personal Savior. That is a bold face lie. Just look in to Mormon doctrine. Fundamental Christians are the biggest hypocrits to support a Mormon.

What I find interesting is that the foreign policy of both Romney and Huckabee is stay the course. So what is this word fight all about? What would either Romney or Huckabee done different than what George W. Bush did? While they don’t mention Bush by name they don’t distance themselves from any of the Bush policies either. The war in Afghanistan has been going on for 6 years and the war in Iraq for nearly 5 years yet both have been funded off-book as emergency spending measures. They haven’t even said that they would discontinue this shameful practice. With this as a model, is there any wonder we have the sub-prime mess today. Romney and Huckabee are status quo candidates in a change election. No thanks.

Historians of the future, assuming we have a future, will rightly place the blame for the 9/11 attack on George Bush; his dismissal of the 8/6/01 pdb, his failure to pursue the (same) attackers of the USS Cole who became known in the days before he assumed the office, and for his failure to adequately pursue the mastermind of the 9/11 attack, instead changing his focus to pursuing his own self interests in Iraq.
