Like the fellow at the Global Warming Conference said last week: If you’re not going to lead, get out of the way.

Threaten to vote (R), and if we get no response, do it.

Marcus – what are we to do? Draft Nader? As disappointing as the Dems may sometimes be, I don’t really think you’d rather we leave it in the hands of the R’s.

We are to take their power away. This band of cowards do not represent me or the Progressive movement. They are not Progressives, they are wolves in sheep’s clothing. The Dem leadership is who would rather leave it in the hands of the Rs. isn’t that what we’re witnessing?

Attacking people on your own side for not being in lockstep with your reactionary tantrum is not useful toward your stated goals at all.

You comments sound as if you believe the Dem leadership is on our side – show me some evidence of this.

I’ll tell you who’s not on my (and by “my”, I mean “our”) side: The Neocons, the Republicans, and The Democrat leadership. Vote for them at your own peril.

The time has come to either withdraw support for the status quo or to destroy it from within. Mark my words: either the Dems feet are held to the fire, or we elect the new boss, who is the same as the old boss (except they don’t have the courage to abandon the sheep’s clothing). These guys make Lieberman look honest.

If you think the Dem leadership is committed to the Progressive agenda, as I said: you’re drinking Kool-aid light.

Does the Democratic leadership reflect your politics? I doubt it. Have they listened to their base? No.

BTW, I realize the Democratic Senate leaders are a bunch of corporate whores, but they are just a little bit more honest about giving tooth mark skull than the Repukes, so I’ll not be voting Repukelickin to spite the spineless Dems.
