Can we impeach the bastids NOW?????
December 17th, 2007 at 10:41 amready FIRE aim....
December 17th, 2007 at 10:43 amHard to pick the top 10 out of hundreds of Bush Regime scandals > lol.
December 17th, 2007 at 10:43 amRe 3
Even when it's restricted to one year. I hate to think about what we don't know.
December 17th, 2007 at 10:45 amAnd the Number 1 ethics scandal is... Reid and Polosi doing f--k all about any of the above.
December 17th, 2007 at 10:45 amPelosi and Reid are tied up dealing with Lieberman endorsing McCain for President today. It makes them look stupid for not helping Lamont to topple Joe in the last election.
December 17th, 2007 at 10:49 amCome on. The Craig vs Vitter double-standard (whilst a valid - and amusing - point about GOP hypocrisy) is chickenfeed compared to the numerous Blackwater scandals which State has seemingly made little effort to resolve.
December 17th, 2007 at 10:52 amI'd think the Congress' failure to impeach the toadies running this country would be #1.
December 17th, 2007 at 10:53 amI have to go > very busy this holiday season > take care all.
December 17th, 2007 at 10:56 amOT - Chris Dodd is speaking NOW on C-SPAN 2.
Still time to call Hillary and Barack and DEMAND they join Dodd in his Filibuster to save the 4th amendment.

And the dirty laundry list by the Administration certainly gets longer everyday than a roll of toilet paper.
December 17th, 2007 at 10:56 amDems say they will make "sweeping changes" when they take over Congress. Here's what they actually did:
An increase in the federal minimum wage, to $5.85 an hour from $5.15, effective July 24, 2007.
An increase in the federal minimum wage, to $6.55 an hour from $5.85, effective July 24, 2008.
An increase in the federal minimum wage, to $7.25 an hour from $6.55, effective July 24, 2009.
That's it. Other than that, the Democrats have failed at everything they have attempted, from routine matters like relief from the Alternative Minimum Tax which affects middle class taxpayers to ambitious projects such as turning Iraq into a haven for al Qaeda.
This is truly a scandal--a do-nothing Congress!
December 17th, 2007 at 10:57 amI live in CT. I am so embarrassed that I voted for Joey Lieberman again. I REALLY thought he would change. You can be assured that I will be at the top of the list of people who work for the campaign of whoever runs against him next time he runs. People here are so fed up with him, he is a gonner. That turncoat repub wanna be. I am FURIOUS.
December 17th, 2007 at 11:09 amThe topic ethics scandal is not on CREW's list.
The Corporate Media refusing to report on the loss of Civil Liberties of Americans is the #1 ethics scandal, by far.
We've lost almost every Civil Right we had and the corporate media reported none of it. They are complicit in this crime.
The 4th amendment is on the line TODAY. We will lose it too unless other Democrats, namely Hillary and Barack, join him. This FISA bill must be stopped.
December 17th, 2007 at 11:11 amI live in CT. I am so embarrassed that I voted for Joey Lieberman again. I REALLY thought he would change.

The first step to healing is admitting your mistake. Thank you. Don't vote for Hillary unless you want to find yourself writing the same post two years from now.
December 17th, 2007 at 11:13 amThis is truly a scandal–a do-nothing Congress!

well, it's left-over from the GOP treason congress, and the GOP traitors are still fighting tooth and nail against the American people. GOP is an obstructionist, America-hating organization that needs to be destroyed and buried, immediately, and their leaders tried and jailed. Then the country can move forward again. Blaming the slight Democratic majority for the GOP treason is typical rightwing reframing and lying; not at all surprising from the cowards on the right.
December 17th, 2007 at 11:24 amLefty, great point. But the Dems in Congress could, say, could just keep passing what the people want and let the repukes go on record as the obstructionist they are, instead of caving, caving, caving, caving...etc.
December 17th, 2007 at 11:35 amArlen Spector's now on, trying to "strike a balance," by having the government stand in for the telecoms as possible defendants in any suits, in an amendment he's presenting. He also is complaining about the administration's giving congress the stonewall on FISA...
December 17th, 2007 at 11:36 amWhy does it feel like we're all alterboys trying to fend off bush's priests?
December 17th, 2007 at 11:51 amSomehow, JT forgot to mention that congress passed into the law the recommendations of the 9-11 commission which should be important to him. The historically high 57 filibusters waged by repubs also slipped his mind as did Bush's 7 vetos. JT, there are herbal suppliments now available which claim to help memory. Maybe you should look into them.
December 17th, 2007 at 12:24 pmBut, but, but Clinton got a BJ!
December 17th, 2007 at 12:53 pmThey should've stretched it to the "Top 25" - that would still only cover half the total list, but it would've given a clearer impression of just how corrupt and scandalous the reign of the neocons has been.
December 17th, 2007 at 1:12 pmi'm guessing this list was draawn up before LIEberman decided to
absolutely show his TRUE COLORS by endorsing mcCAVE...
and in the primary yet...
he should be stripped of his committee chair(s) ... ... should...
incredible...
December 17th, 2007 at 2:03 pmAs Lewis Black noted, it would take a full year to describe the misdeeds of the Bush administration, and that's just in 2007!
December 17th, 2007 at 2:30 pm#20, you are wrong.
Congress did not "pass into the law the recommendations of the 9-11 commission" as you stated. See this link:
http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblogs/TWSFP/2007/07/congress_ignores_major_911_com.asp
The filibusters that you mentioned were actually the work of Dems who refused to take up or down votes on judicial nominees, many of whom were vetted by the Dems' poster-child organization, the American Trial Lawyers Association. Many agree that the refusal to conduct such votes is in blatant disregard to the appointment powers of Congress as outlined in the Constitution.
Go back and do your research and quit posting points that have no factual basis.
December 17th, 2007 at 2:41 pmJT - nice split on that hair - did you borrow Exley's hairsplitter to get that one done?
December 17th, 2007 at 2:45 pmJT, as we sit here today, Repubs in Senate have staged 57 separate filibusters and are on a course to set historical records for the number of filibusters in a single session. And, the Dems DID pass the vast majority of 9-11 commission suggestions into law which is 100% better than Repubs did when they were in control, so I'm not sure where you get your so-called "facts."
