Yeah, but he is mad because the lobbyists and corporate fat cats aren’t stuffing money in his pockets like they do for all of his Republican friends in Congress.

If he hates his job so-o-o-o-o much, then why doesn’t he step down? Complaining has never been an effective solution to any problem. If you’re confronted with a situation which you don’t like but which you have some power to change, the best solution is to do something in order to change it — and if you have no power to change it, sometimes the wisest approach is either to leave or to live with the situation to the best of your ability until such time as you can do something to change it. The Republicans are, after all, the ones who are always pontificating about taking personal responsibility! Thomas isn’t a prisoner, for pity’s sake, nor is he a victim — and since he doesn’t have the power to change the entire Supreme Court system to reflect his preferences, he’s free to retire whenever he feels like it instead of sulking about it like a petulant spoiled brat. I for one would be more than happy to see him go.

Okay, Southern Boy…

You do realize how impossible it would be for each individual plaintiff to fight his or her case against a large corporation, and that in some instances, class action lawsuits are used by the defendant “to forestall major liability by precluding a large number of people from litigating their claims separately,and recover reasonable compensation for the damages”.

Imperfect system, but its what we’ve got right now. Kinda like trade unions. Given just how hideoulsy abusive employers, ESPECIALLY corps, can be, unions and class acton lawsuits are a necessary evil.

Correct, alpuz3. It never ceases to amaze that the troll in question just happens to be… handicapped, or a veteran, or a handicapped veteran, or a Christian, or the father of a multi-racial child… just when it’s most convenient to make a point in the argument… over and over and over again.

Why would she be bothered?…she’s Chinese/Filipina.

My daughter is half European though…I guess they don’t yet have a name for Chinese/Italian/Filipino/English.

I just see them as my family. The only reason I bring it up is because the freaks at this website call me a racist everyday when I clearly am not.

Most people would be delighted with the money a SC justice gets. Write a book later, that’ll getcha a few million dollars from the Rupert Murcoch Publishing Company. It doesn’t do anything for your ego?? What in the heck would it take to do something for your ego? Being declared emperor?

Every accusation Anita Hill made was true. There was another female co-worker of his who was going to testify against him, but they would not let her. His college roommate said “yep, that sounds like Clarence”!

Who said anything about race?

I said that she is not white….Usually South-east Asians are not considered to be white.

Personally I agree with Viktor E. Frankl : “There are only two races, the decent and the indecent.”

European? English? Two new races. And just where is the “Filipina” race located?
