Our missile defense system isn’t even integrated with NATO and we’re going to integrate it with Israel?

Congress is set to approve a plan to integrate the U.S. and Israeli missile defense systems.

The proposal, authored by U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), is part of the Defense Authorization Act passed late Wednesday by the U.S. House of Representatives and due to be considered by the Senate before Christmas break. The author highlighted the hereditary nature of non-elected government posts. Many of the "behind the scenes" people in Washington are direct descendants of the "Founding Fathers". There are similar dynasties in state and local governments. And the Chimperror? Worst President Ever!!! It's not even a contest. No previous blunder can compare with invading the wrong country. Of course, this may be true in Pakistan for all I know; it seems clear that the only people "qualified" to serve in such positions come from elite families -- or ascend to such status through the military. I think it's a huge mistake to apply our own cultural standards to Pakistan, and I suspect none of us here are conversant enough with that culture to make the call.
