Number of Americans who approve of President Bush’s handling of the economy, according to a new AP-Ipsos poll. “With signs of economic stress abounding,” Bush’s numbers have dropped from 36 percent last month. Just 27 percent believe the country is “headed in the right direction, including fewer than half of Republicans.”
And they wonder why 2 votes went to every Democrat in Iowa for every vote that went to a Republican. I want to say the numbers were repeated in New Hampshire, but I’m not sure there…regardless, it’s a big upset for Republicans so far.
January 10th, 2008 at 4:40 pm33% of the populations doesn’t know what the word “economy” means.
January 10th, 2008 at 4:40 pmMust be all them true-believers, the die-hard Nazis goose-stepping in unison behind their fuhrer-Bushitler.

January 10th, 2008 at 4:48 pmQ: How does one recognize half a Republican?
January 10th, 2008 at 4:49 pm#9, answer,
January 10th, 2008 at 4:50 pmBy the smile on their face!
Bush supporters sure believed in polls in the months following the 9-11 attack.
January 10th, 2008 at 4:51 pmBush’s bitter enders would support Bush even if he were to be caught on video clubbing a nun to death with a baby seal.

When they’re working under the kitchen sink?
January 10th, 2008 at 4:54 pmHmmmm. I guess 33% must be the combined ratio of the rich and the *stoopid*…
January 10th, 2008 at 4:55 pmGSD, doubtful bush would do that, he’s a chicken shit…..He let’s the big boss do the damage..More likely cheney would shoot the nun and baby seal and then demand an apolegy from both……Blessings

I have said it before, Bush will have to be caught with a live boy or a dead girl.
January 10th, 2008 at 4:59 pmAs long as the number is above 5%, Bush is happy. The top 5% are his “base” of support and they will continue to fund the brainwashing for the other 25% braindead Left Behind freaks what they need to support Repugnicunt policies.
For proof, please see JK post above.

Comment by Leftside Annie — January 10, 2008 @ 4:55 pm
Actually it’s probably a coalition of the stupid rich and the stupid not-rich. The smart rich recognize that they’ll get even richer when the economy is healthy, and the economy is healthiest when the greatest number of people are participating in it.
As anyone who has ever played Monopoly knows, you may “win” the game when you have bankrupted everybody else, but there’s nobody left to make money from anymore. Kind of a hollow victory, if you ask me.
January 10th, 2008 at 5:07 pmLooks like maybe DUbya will leave office with a Clean sweep; EVERYTHING he touched turned to sh!t.
Yale must be SOOO f’ing proud of one of their own grad-u-its!
January 10th, 2008 at 5:11 pm33%??? I guess that number includes the old moron I passed on I-30 driving a beat up ‘86 Pontiac 50mph in the fast lane with a Bush/Cheney ‘04 sticker on the rusted out spot. He’s obviously prospering under the BushCo regime.
January 10th, 2008 at 5:36 pmBush supporters sure believed in polls in the months following the 9-11 attack.
Comment by Ret. Col. Jack Ripper
Bush supporters believe in polls when they say what they want to hear. When they don’t…well, not so much. The problem is for them, there isn’t any good news in the polls these days, so they are trying to spread the RNC talking points that the polls are wrong.
Just wait for them to start using the polls that said Obama was going to win in New Hampshire as proof that polls are wrong.
BTW, I heard today that the polling on Obama was right on the mark. What happened is that most of the undecideds went to Clinton. So, when you get right down to it, the polls were right except for their not taking into account the undecided vote.
January 10th, 2008 at 5:36 pm33% represents those who stay positive and are successful in life and don’t complain about every single thing happening in the world and the nation.
How about you contribute something positive on this forum for once?? Positivity creates positivity after all and you all need some cheering up from the looks of it.

And by sucessful you mean you accomplished wedging your head so firmly up your ass that you are now comfortable with it there? You mean the 33% who are living in trailer parks watching Fox News and believing they are living the American dream. You mean sucessful people like yourself who have Larry the Cable Guy as their hero? Very convincing, loser.
January 10th, 2008 at 5:48 pm#9 Answer: The’ll only have one hand in your pocket.

January 11th, 2008 at 12:23 am“That’s not a poll! Basically polls are created by libs to invent news stories. They finally messed up with their own kind!!”
What, conservatives don’t do polls? Huh?
“You’re now living in your lib dream world pal!! Your comment is so ridiculous that I’m sure even the left nut wacko libs that read it think you’ve lost it!”
Not sure how his comment was ridiculous. Maybe you have to be intelligent to understand it? Or do you still believe Iraq was behind 9-11?
