Bear Butte is sacred ground for Native Americans, with a rich history of spiritual events.
I was there for my own vision quest, fasting alone on the mountain for 3 days.
While I was there, fbi helicopters buzzed over us during the ceremonies, FBI agents walked among us harrassing people, disturbing ceremonies and they photographed everyones licence plates in the parking lot. They were clearing harassing and interfering with religious freedom.

They do this every year, to the people having sweat lodges and doing vision quests.
