The Founding Fathers KNEW which was worse, and created a Constitution reflecting that knowledge. They had lived under tyranny and knew it was a fate worse than death. Only when enough of us personally experience the resultant injustices others are suffering will we realize what we've lost, and care enough to protest. Then it'll be too late.
