Pity that she clearly didn’t put quite as much effort into her studies when she was in school as the people whom she praises are doing now by working two jobs — because had she done so, she would have known that there’s no such word as “workingest”.

Frankly, I don’t see a lot of fresh policy ideas coming from either side. Hillary dabbled in her baby bonds idea for a bit, but other than that the Democrats have been kind of reticent about creating big changes. Just look at the Social Security debate Barack Obama tried to have.
The only change the Dems seem to want is mandating health care coverage, which seems a little statist to me.

Our corporate tax law hurts our global competitiveness. Companies have an incentive to build offices abroad and hire workers abroad when they account for our terribly high corporate tax rate. The idea is anathema to the left because it assists corporations directly, but you guys fail to understand how it will also help workers and boost the overall American economy.

That is a great idea! Nothing would stimulate the economy and create jobs and increase government revenue better than a corporate tax cut. In fact, since the combination of corporate taxes and personal taxes is double taxation maybe we should eliminate corporate taxes. After that, we should do away with the IRS and initiate a national sales tax. Forcing us middle-class people to fill out a form that even trained accountants have problems with is far from fair. I love living in Florida simply because I do not have to fill out two damn income tax forms every year, as I had to do in over taxed, so-called progressive New Jersey, the Garden State.

But Buffett’s point is that most of his earnings are gained through capital gains taxes, which are taxed at a lower rate than the income tax. Perhaps the answer is the reduce the income tax on the middle class, then, rather than increase the capital gains tax, which would discourage risk and investment.

She messed up the geography and the Shiite – Sunni placment, had several provinces set aside for terrorist traing territories and then demonstated that she was clueless Iran’s ethnic and religious content.

Which beats the hell out of the Republican’s 1 1/2 day work week in the last Congress.

Ireland lowered their corporate tax rate to 12% and their economy is booming with great jobs, geez, even Canada has a lower corporate tax rate at 32%.

The same applies to many ’socialist’ countries like Norway, Sweden and Finland…they all have lower corporate tax rates with higher sales taxes to make up for it.

America is in desperate need of a corporate tax reduction.
