Ps. Tracy Edwards-hater,
You apparently have either forgotten or don't care that, with each election, there are new voters, who have either come of age or newly acquired citizenship between cycles. Even if Edwards' health plan is quite similar to what he was saying in 2004, he has every right to present his message to the new voters, who, in turn, should have the right to decide whether or not to listen to him. Please find something else to bicker about, troll-boy.

To Tracy2
Kucinich was right about opposing the invasion of Iraq from the start, which is a lot more than any of us here can say about your posts on the so-called nobility of the effort--an effort we also all know you are too much of a chickenhawk to join. In any case, I am sorry you have such a fixation on Edwards in a thread that is supposed to be about Dumbcan Hunter. Don't expect me to read your links or any further posts of yours here.

That’s my point! He already brought all of the SAME old ideas when he ran for the nomination in 2004. We have already heard his ideas….we don’t need to hear them again in 2008.
Comment by Tracy2 — January 22, 2008 @ 7:31 pm

If you paid any attention to Edwards--which you obviously don't--, you might have noticed, for example, that he has come up with the most detailed health plan of the Dem candidates. Whether you agree with it or not, that plan is more finely honed than what he was saying in 2004. Obviously you have some strange fixation on Edwards, as you could say the same about Kucinich, whom you don't seem to mind (because of his lovely wife maybe?), or about your posts here--the same old neo-con blather year in and year out.

#51 Tracy2
In my opinion, Edwards has every right to bring his ideas into the campaign, even if he doesn't have a chance of winning. That's called democracy, sonny boy. Now that my favorite candidate (Richardson) dropped out and partly thanks to you, I decided to cast my vote for Edwards.

Edwards already had a go at this a few years back and he isn’t doing any better now.
Comment by Tracy2 — January 21, 2008 @ 2:19 pm

So why don't you write a letter to the Edwards camp? I doubt that any of us here is in the position to tell Edwards to drop out. Meanwhile, as Nevar pointed out in #29, you yourself keep on posting here, though you have no chance of influencing any of us.

When will Edward stop wasting the state taxpayers money AGAIN and drop out consider(SIC) he doesn’t stand a chance?
Comment by Tracy2

The same applies even more so to Fred Thompson, but this is a thread about Dumbcan Hunter just in case you didn't notice.

Perhaps Hunter and Freddy of Hollywood can carpool back to Cali...

Although with a writers' strike, Fred'll be stuck doing commercials: KFC, AARP, Polygrip; flashing that sh*t-sandwich smile...

Well, since the interest in Hunter's beached campaign was waned, let's look at a democratic candidate for his old seat:

Who is Mike Lumpkin?
Michael D. Lumpkin is an extraordinary American leader who served as the former Deputy Commander, Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mike has also deployed to Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and the Philippines in support of our nation’s ongoing Global War on Terrorism.

Mike has a Master’s Degree in National Security Affairs and he is recognized by the Department of Defense as a specialist in both the Western Hemisphere and Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict.

As a Navy SEAL, Mike served eight operational tours and one as Commanding Officer of a Team. Two of these assignments were in the Republic of Panama. In Latin America, he was formally recognized by the Armed Forces Preparedness Association for his Outstanding Contributions to National Security while conducting counter-narcotics operations.

Mike also served as the Officer in Charge of the training and readiness of all West Coast SEAL Teams. The Teams he trained performed magnificently in the invasion of both Afghanistan and Iraq while sustaining no casualties.[. . .]

just found on C&L's latest:

We need to be aggressive in fighting this venomous nonsense every day.
