Perino: ‘math is not my strong suit.’»

In today’s press briefing, a reporter asked White House Press Secretary Dana Perino about the new CBO estimate on the skyrocketing deficit. Perino didn’t have much of an answer, however, and simply replied, “Well, I don’t know how they come to all of their numbers at CBO. It’s a little bit — math is not my strong suit.” Watch it:

Poor math skills obviously run in the Bush administration. In September, President Bush said he couldn’t predict whether there would be a recession because he “got a B in Econ 101.”

UPDATE: Perino isn’t so hot at history either.

No one in GDumbya’s Keystone Kops gang has a strong suit. It just wouldn’t be good to have anyone in the White House showing up GDumbya so they all have to have the IQ of a rock.

Clueless, rudderless, the ship of state flounders, broaches and generally just gets pounded by the wind and waves.

neither is responding directly to questions, apparently, since the answer the reporter sought didn’t ask for the Lying Sack of Cuteâ„¢ to calculate anything.

Perino must be the only person who will take the job of defending Bush everyday.

President Bush said he couldn’t predict whether there would be a recession because he “got a B in Econ 101.”

Alas, like the lies in the runup to the Iraq War, this, too, is a lie.
Care to admit your “gentleman’s C,” Mr. Preznit?

  9. Exley Says:

JANE CURTIN:”Mr. President, you said that the Humphrey-Hawkins bill will cost a possible $60 billion, but assuming a job growth of 5% over a period of seven years with net annual incomes ranging from $20,000 to $32,000, isn’t it true that the jobs provided by the bill will create up to $150 billion in increased tax revenue?”

CHEVY CHASE as GERALD FORD:”It was my understanding that there would be no math.”

  10. Jack Jett Says:

Let me see Dana…that is math, grammer, geography, temper, hairstyle, make up, that you are NOT good at.

It’s very simple Dana, all you have to do is add.
And then you subtract your bills from the money you have.
If you don’t have enough money, that’s when it gets complicated.

#9 is right. Unless I see a scanned copy of his transcript I will never believe he got a B in economics.

Also, a person cannot maintain good health lying for a living.

  18. Veritas Says:

Ms. Perino: Math is not her “strong suit”; Truth is also not her “strong suit”. Maybe it’s time for her to get her effin suit out of there since she’s making a blathering idiot of herself?

This does not appear to be a sentence. Best to leave typos alone as they are to be expected and open you up for the same

  27. ralph the wonder llama Says:

Shaun, credit where credit is due — I stole that title from Stephanie Miller. I think she may have gotten it from one of her listeners.
