Hey, he’s the new anointed, he wants to get as much space between himself and this colossal failure of a presidunce as possible. No surprise there.
Obama and Clinton will be there to provide stony silence when the guy holds up the ‘applause’ sign.
McCain has been absent fron the senate for a while, so the speech will add nothing to him.
Also McCain is busy these days looking for money for his campaign .
He also senses that the Bush family is supporting M. Romney. To be with Lieberman these days is all what he wants.
With the little success he got so far in the primaries, he already started to talk about his war plans
…more wars, my dear friend, more wars, my dear friend….
So he is very busy to sit down and listen to Bush. Plus what Bush is going to say is already known anyway..and it is his last speech.
McCain, with Lieberman on his side began selling his long term war plans…
Being the most likely Republican nominee, McCain has to now start to try and put distance between himself and the Bush regime before the general elections. Expect to hear a lot of hollow criticism of Bush from McCain in the next year. McCain is joined at the hip with the Bush regime, don’t let him put a fraction of a millimeter of daylight between himself and Bush.
We’ve still got The Picture John. The Hug. You looked so happy. So content. You and George sharing a moment. It’s a little late to start acting like you guys never had a thing.
John McCain is making a HUGE mistake not being at the State of the Union address. Most all Floridians will be watching the event, and he is the only Rep Prez candidate with a ticket – what a fool. If he were smart, he would attend and applaud Bush where they agree, or frown where they don’t, but at least he would be part of the big show. Now he is no better than the rest of the pack. Is he afraid that he will get a kiss like Lieberman?
I bet Rush Limbaugh tees off on him for that tomorrow. A party leader doesn’t diss his party’s own president.
McBush and the rest of the rethug candidates are so out of the ball park in the 2008 election that they don’t matter. Mcbush is (yawn) not going (yawn) to Bush…. (zzzzz)

So, are Hillary and Obama attending to reassure potential voters that not that much will change if either of them is elected president?
After all, Hillary supported the Kyl-Lieberman amendment, essentially giving W. the green light to attack Iran, and Obama indicated last summer that he’d launch attacks in Pakistan with or without their permission if he came to believe that viable Al Qaeda targets existed there.
And don’t forget that both Hillary and Obama supported the Oman Free Trade agreement, and although they were in Iowa at the time of the vote, both indicated their support for the more recent Peru Free Trade agreement. For those who think that NAFTA and CAFTA are the greatest thing since sliced bread, if Hillary or Obama become the Democratic nominee, free traders can rest easy because it won’t matter who gets elected. Anyone remember Perot’s statement in 1992 about that “giant sucking sound”?

I am having a flashback to a SNL skit with Jim Belushi and Pamela Sue Martin doing the White Guy Rap in their little tennis whites. Lyrics follow:
I’m a white guy, I don’t take no crap
When I deliver my white rap
I got my money the old fashioned way
My granddaddy dropped dead one day
I’m rich, hot damn
I never had to go to Vietnam
Got a BMW and MBA
Vote GOP on Election Day
On Sundays for an extra thrill
We fire up the Weber grill
Invite some white guys and their wives
We drink to within an inch of our lives
Then it’s off to Ruth and Ed’s
Where we wind up in each other’s beds
I wake up, Ruth’s next to me
I’m so glad I had a vasectomy
But that’s all right, we won’t fight
It’s just not done when your extremely white
we’re extremely white- that’s right-
we walk with our buttocks extremely tight
The Wife says:
Drop him off at the railway station
Grip my teeth in sheer frustration
Then it off to the tennis club
For a tennis match and body rub
We all go shopping. I buy a dress
Put it on the white guy’s American Express
“I’m liberated. I belong to NOW.
But I voted for Reagan anyhow
Vodka, Gin and Sweet Vermouth
Lots of bran to keep our bowels loose
Blah, Blah
An oriental gardener to mow the yard
Kilo, you sound extremely white and I bet you walk with your butt extremely tight.
