Romney is the candidate of ’some of the Bush family.’

On Fox News Sunday this morning, New York Times columnist William Kristol announced that Vice President Dick Cheney’s daughter, Liz, was endorsing former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. That led host Chris Wallace to ask if “secretly, or maybe not so secretly, the Bushes and Cheneys support Mitt Romney?” “I think some of the Bush family do support Romney, I think that’s pretty clear,” remarked Fox’s Brit Hume. Watch it:

Romney has also delivered a major speech on religion at the library of former president George H.W. Bush and has been courting former Florida governor Jeb Bush.

Republican-controlled corporations have outsourced millions of American jobs to Mexico, India and China and elsewhere in the third world. And the Mittster is going to help bring our jobs back home with his background in venture-capitalism? Since Bush and Cheney stole our democracy in the fascist coup of 2000, they have given us lies, electronically-stolen elections, spying, wars of aggression, cronyism, stupidity, arrogance, greed, torture and treason. The GOP is dead in the water for 2008. Why do they even bother putting up a Presidential candidate. Instead, they should just hang their heads in shame over the vast mess created by Bush and Cheney.

Mitt is a rich, effete, man-boy just like W. Of course they like him.

Mitt is the default. But Bush is the kiss of death so he can’t talk about it. lol

  8. Angry McAngus says:

Ah, reminds me of the reign of the Robber Barons of the Gilded Age, before the material excesses of the 20s led to the little recession of the 30s and that communist Roosevelt and his New Deal. Now we’re back to the rich and powerful “trickling down” on everybody else, like that scene in The Good Shepherd when the rich fratboy pisses on Matt Damon’s character.

That grinning piece of shite is Bush/Romney et al.

    Just announced:
Liz has joined the Romney campaign.

Romney, like Reagan, is exactly what Neo-cons want; a slick flip flopper that they can impute all their beliefs onto – and then worship him.

Romney is what is still spinning around the bowl after Bush has been flushed.

The fact that Cheneyspawn support him is all the more reason to run this plastic nitwit into the cornfield.

This isn’t a surprise. Poppy and Babs introduced Mitt when he gave his infamous “This is What I Believe” speech about Mormonism.

The Bu$hs regard the federal government’s reason for existence is to protect the interests of corporations and the top one-percenters. Mitt is their man, alright.

  13. Clumberfeet says:

Liz Cheney’s endorsement of Romney pushes him ahead of McCain for the moniker, ‘the four more years of Bush candidate’? These people are delusional.
This would just be typical FOX foolishness but the announcement was made the morning after Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg endorsed Obama as the next JFK.

  14. erock says:

Who is still listening to and/or caring about anything Bill Kristol says? He’s right less often than a stopped clock.

  15. the Lone Voice of Reason says:

All he needs now is Pat Robertsons’ endorsement, and he can surely mop up on that crazy evangelical 20 some’ % I always see on the polls.

hahaha….jesus christ himself could run for the repuglicans (not that he EVER would) and not get elected.

i was going to ask, “what makes it so clear?”, but after reading these comments i get it now…
but i did think that mccain was “the anointed one”, what with his penchant to continue this profitable “war”…
so, with limpballs “hating” mccain, does that mean that
all the dittoheads will go for romney now too?

crazy illinois weather… 2 days ago it was solid 0s, high of 20s…
today to be in the 50s… time to go outside and remove the

    later…

  18. Cats r Flyfishn says:

Looks like Romney’s political career is going to come to an end. All he needs is to be in the same room as the “Great Destroyer”, George W Bush to put an end to his chance at the White House.

  19. fletc3her says:

I don’t really see the point of this post? Is this supposed to be surprising or revelatory in any way? Among Republicans the endorsement of the Bushes probably carries weight. But, I don’t see how it could me make like Romney less since my dislike for him is already so well established.

  20. Badger says:

Of course the Bush’s see Romney as their heir apparent. In their eyes, the Bush tax cuts were their first and greatest accomplishment. McCain opposed them.

In his speeches, Romney mentions W once, claiming he has kept us all safe from terrorists, and then goes on and on about Reagan.

For once, I think Kristol is right. Romney is the candidate of Big Business….McCain scares them.

So he wants the Liz Cheney senior is foreign policy adviser. The “attack, attack, attack” Cheney foreign policy? Man thats great. Say hello to a democrat president. This would be the kiss of death for his campaign. The country does not want more of the same.

Another Bush on a ticket will never win, not now, not in 4 years, not in 8 years, not in 12, not ever.
If you think any Bush will ever be elected again, you are out of touch with reality.

  26. kasinca says:

If this wannabe fascist says it, it is wrong and/or false. Quiz: What has he and his ilk been right about over the past seven years? Answer: Absolutely nothing. Every member of the PNAC is a lying thug.

It does not matter what the American Public and the Rest of The Planet (Universe?) wants.

    It is what Diebold/AIPAC wants.

Seriously, every person you know that does not vote has to be convinced to do so, so there is such a ridiculous Super-Majority that they could not pull off any more Coups like 2000 and 2004.

Here’s an idea, when this FASCIST bu$h Crime Family moves to Paraguay, Jeb can run for President on the Nazi Party down there.

Remember back 3, 4 months ago, when Poppy Bush broke down crying in public? I heard it was because he understood that W had personally destroyed any chance Jeb ever had of running for Pres.

Jeb for VP? Of what country… Paraguay?

  35. MapleStreet says:

What a winning streak of winners from the same Family

    Prez Franklin Pierce
    George HW Bush
    George W Bush
    and now Jeb Bush ?

that would come close to making 10% of our presidents related.
