You see, Schumer, you were WRONG and all the bloggers that opposed Mukasey’s nomination were RIGHT. Perhaps you and Feinstein will stop thinking of yourselves as dealmakers or king makers andf start listening to the populace for a change. But again, too late. The people definitely have more wisdom than inside the beltway.

Chuck is a chucklehead — and I’m saying this as one of his constituents. Why is he disappointed? He should have seen this coming. He’s acting exactly like the woman who catches her fiance in bed with another woman and decides to marry him anyway because she believes that he’ll change once they’re married — only to find out that what he was doing before the wedding, he’s still doing after the wedding (sometimes even more so). In short, Schumer has only himself to blame for his own disappointment.

Your disappointment would seem a lot more sincere if you didn’t have a smile on your face when you’re addressing him. I called up your office the day you approved him, and left an email saying what a mistake this was, and how shameful you are in having approved him in the first place. Why are you disappointed? You got exactly what you asked for.

First, he sells out the people and the Constitution by voting for a fluffer who virtually everyone in America KNEW would give legal cover to the Administration. Next, he plays the confused and apologetic card, confident that the Sheeple will quickly move on to some new diversion. And the DLC corporate dollars continue to flow his way……

Di-Fi does much the same, varying only by posturing as a vaguely addled granma who just can’t believe ‘that nice man would hurt our country’. And the defense contracting dollars continue to flow her husband’s way….Politics is quite simple if you reduce it to greed.

If you would have called me during confirmation hearings for this clown, I could have told you what his answer would be. Mukasey is to serve bu$h, not be the Attorney for the People of the US. That only happens when you have a government of the people who believes in the rule of law.

I’m underwhelmed at Schumer’s disappointment. Mukasey has not changed his evasive nature. Who would’ve thunk it. I understand waterboarding makes the victim say what the interrogator wants to hear. Maybe it should be tried on Mukasey.

The adjective I always put with Chuck Schumer is “oily.” He’s a weasel, and he sold his moral compass for peanuts decades ago. Unfortunately, NY’s Dem party being completely corrupt, the chances of ousting Oily Chuck in the primary are slim. But it’s sure worth a shot.

Frankly, I’m disappointed to that Congress hasn’t started impeachment hearings, that the Senate has given Bush everything he wants.
