Erik Prince’s tell-all Blackwater book.

Erik Prince, founder and CEO of Blackwater Worldwide, has signed a deal for a book defending his organization with conservative publisher Regnery. The book, We Are Blackwater, is due out this summer and promises to show “how Blackwater has handled protection, rescue, and supply assignments that even our military can’t.”

“Tell-all?” Puh-LEEEZE. And be sure to click on the link and read all about…

“Battle the Loony Left—and Keep Them OUT of the White House.”

  2. VerbalKint says:

Erik Prince should be shown to the gallows.

  3. Uncle Ho says:

Who wants to read a memoir by a jackabooted brownshirt? Certainly not me.

  4. Guido OBGYN Lover says:

A military presence in every country, and a wiretap on every American home. That’s what Prince represents.

    Blackwater:

Defending the rights of those who pay us by trampling on the rights of those who don’t.

  6. whatevah says:

Eric Prince should be in prison for what his organization has done. No wonder he’s attempting to exonerate himself with his new biased book. This man is certifiably psychotic.

  7. gummitch says:

Regnery is right wing backed (See human events) vanity publisher.

Strictly speaking, Regnery isn’t a vanity publisher. That term is reserved for “publishers” you pay to “publish” your book. They may do a little distribution and even a little advertising, but you pay for all of it.

  8. RUCerious says:

And the reason the military can’t is because it’s been privatized!

    Geebus Hangover Kreist!

  9. tombaker says:

as in “tell all the p.r. stories”, and pretend the rest didn’t happen.

others will write the real story of back-water – Mr. Prince will try to fill the air with smoke and bullshit so he can escape with his ill-gotten fortune.

mercs are scum, now and always

ummm….our military CAN – for MUCH CHEAPER. The only downside is that corporate schmucks can’t raid the national treasury for ludicrous profit.

    Just ask Riddick…

“how Blackwater has handled protection, rescue, and supply assignments that even our military can’t.”

Seriously? That sounds more like a catalog.

  13. Toss these losers says:

Shouldn’t the subtitle be “how we are above the law”?

The fact that we have become reliant on mercenaries should alarm the entire country. It only takes a command from the Dude controlling the checks(ie. Commander Guy) to turn that on the general population. For a clown with demonstrated public indifference to suffering of the masses(see Katrina) I don’t think he’d shed too many tears if a few citizens get taken out in the name of “keeping the peace”.

Was Prince showing his “commitment and compassion for all people” when his gun happy employees went postal on some innocent Iraqi citizens??

Oops, sorry Condi, I forgot we were supposed to pretend that never happened.

  14. Zimzone says:

    Great.
Now we have a Prince & a King.

Someone should tell them they’re not wearing any clothes.

  15. sacopenapa says:

ERIK PRINCE SHOULD BE BEHIND BARRS!

  16. reynwrap582 says:

This’ll be an easy book for him to write… just take all of Heinrich Himmler’s writings about the SS and change names, dates and places…

  17. McWars says:

All proceeds, I’m sure, benefit Blackwater. Talk about double taxation.

  18. IgnoranceIsNotBliss says:

That’s one book I will NOT be reading. I get enough of their lies just watching C-Span Hearings.

  19. Styve says:

Just as J. Goldberg’s book, Liberal Fascism was quickly categorized as a “Parody”, so will Prince’s effort be categorized as “Occult”.

  20. Tap Duncan says:

What got my hackles up was the “That the military can’t” Why is that Mr Princess? Because your buddy has totaly ruined the military. What about the other 200+ years of our military? Well thank God your here to be our saviour! Princess is the only man who can do the job, MY ASS!!!

  21. Fred says:

They are going to name it the warren report II

  22. jpopphan says:

The question that must be asked is, why can’t the military do it and do it much better than private enterprise? Once upon a time, the military was self-sufficient. Military personnel cooked the meals, did the laundry, built buildings, etc.

If Blackwater can “do it better” then something truly is broken with our military. We cannot and should not rely on private enterprise to support and augment our military. Either the military does it on its own or it doesn’t do it at all. It is a national security issue as well as an economic one.

  23. jpopphan says:

Oh, and Blackwater would be TOAST if we re-institute the draft.

  24. Wayne says:

If the military “can’t” ( or won’t ) do the job, it is probably f-king illegal.

  25. OxyCon says:

To say that the Blackwater Militia can do things that our military can’t is complete fallacy, especially considering the Blackwater Militia is made up of ex-military personnel (unless Erik Prince is referring to criminal activities which the US military is barred from doing).

  26. ThomasAllen says:

Why does Prince hate our troops?

  27. moondancer says:

I get to write the subtitle: Or How I Brought to Life the GOP Murder Squad.

  28. moondancer says:

    OxyCon@28

They are not under the Uniform Military Code, so they can do whatever they want. Plus if they are “hired” by say a criminal in office(cheney) they can do things that can’t be traced back to the lawbreaker.

  29. MapleStreet says:

Self-report of the head of Blackwater and published by Regnery -

Should be even more accurate, fair and biased than Fox.

  30. MapleStreet says:

    28 & 31 – OxyCon and MoonDancer:

Stupid Question – under the generally accepted international rules of war, wouldn’t Blackwater be mercenaries ? And if so, would Blackwater personnel who are captured be NOT covered under the Geneva Convention and even be subject to immediate execution ?

  31. A Patriot Acting says:

I long for the good old days when Congress were the only ones who could raise an maintain an army. If I remember from my old history books it was also Congress that were the only ones that could form a treaty and authorize a war. Just ’cause Stupid and his friend Dick call them “contractors”, “long-term agreements” and “peace keeping missions” doesn’t make me feel any better.
