On Fox and Friends this morning, former White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card said that he could see Florida Gov. Charlie Crist and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as potential GOP Vice Presidential picks. Asked why he didn’t mention Jeb Bush, Card exclaimed, “Well, Jeb Bush would be my candidate for President.” But he conceded that the George W. Bush presidency is preventing a Jeb candidacy. In order for Jeb to win, Card argued, his name “would have to be John Ellis, not John Ellis Bush.” Watch it:
Are these the same people who whine about a Clinton Dynasty?
February 6th, 2008 at 9:55 amhe conceded that the George W. Bush presidency is preventing a Jeb candidacy
Yup. GDumbya’s presi-duncy is preventing lots of things — economic prosperity, world peace, effective government, etc.
February 6th, 2008 at 9:55 amoh andy you traitor. why haven’t you gone back to your motherland mecca?
February 6th, 2008 at 10:00 amWhy does Andy Card hate America?

impeachment will cure this disease.
February 6th, 2008 at 10:02 amamazing that a pig who is complicit in defiling the constitution is sought out as an opinionmaker by the corporate media. card is also a welcome guest on general electric’s media outlets.
February 6th, 2008 at 10:07 amPlease no more Bushes. Please no Shrubs, Trees, Hedges or anyone named Huckabee!
February 6th, 2008 at 10:09 amIf anything, Chimpy McFlightsuit has virtually guaranteed another Bush will never occupy the White House.
February 6th, 2008 at 10:12 amgoing to be kinda hard to launch the campaign from JAIL
February 6th, 2008 at 10:13 amIn order for Jeb to win, Card argued, his name “would have to be John Ellis, not John Ellis Bush.â€
So he pines for another Bush, while acknowledging the last was a disaster. Typical of the Right, embracing two completely opposite notions at the same time. Like invading a country and killing thousands of innocent civilians, while announcing that you’re freeing them from tyranny.
February 6th, 2008 at 10:16 amAnd I wish for a Cheney-Bush impeachment!

So true. Orwell called it Doublethink.
First the Buchanan comment on the thread above, and now this.
There would appear to be a raging pandemic of brain damage in the GOOP… have 7 years of Geo Botch been too much for them? Are they collectively losing their minds?
February 6th, 2008 at 10:30 amThe Bush conspirators really don’t get it, do they?
February 6th, 2008 at 10:30 amInsanity.

Oh, Andy, you card. Bush’s house of cards has fallen. A positive legacy, in the history books or in having a successor, is not in the cards. Why don’t you just retire somewhere and spend your days playing solitaire? America has no further desire for a card-carrying neocon like you in any position of power or influence.
February 6th, 2008 at 10:38 am“Jeb! did an extremely good job as Florida’s Governor and would still be Florida’s governor but for mandatory term limits.”
The Right bragged about George!’s gubernatorial prowess as well. We all know how that turned out…
February 6th, 2008 at 10:46 amAt least we can thank Dubya for something. Preventing yet another Bush from occupying the White House would be the best thing he has ever done for his country.
No more political dynasties!

Cite your sources, please. From what I can tell Jeb was a horrible governor for Florida.
February 6th, 2008 at 10:47 amWhen would these knuckle heads leave the office and stop making a freakin fools of the citizens of this nation. you can fool some people all the time, you can fool all people sometime, but not all the people all the time. All you need to know about Card.
February 6th, 2008 at 10:56 amAll these people can do is DENY DENY DENY how disasterous their policies and “administration” have been.
Of course Andy Card wishes for another Bush presidency. Everything is going swimmingly for him and for his buddies. For the rest of America and the world, not so much.
February 6th, 2008 at 11:19 amGo away, Card.
February 6th, 2008 at 11:19 amBush has done more damage to us than in history. A Bush dynasty would sink this country forever.
We’ve had enough of Bushes, Rices, and Cards, not to mention Roves, Cheneys and — there are too many to list.
If my last name was Bush, I’d change it also. The name is tainted for centuries to come.

February 6th, 2008 at 12:45 pmhey andy, think you can get me a cheesburger?
February 6th, 2008 at 12:51 pmGet over it. You have a lot of nerve considering the law says he can be elected only twice. What’s wrong with you Card? Do you think he can violate every law of the land and still be your guru? He’s gonna be brought to the bar of justice one day and I’ll bet you’ll change your mind about “serving” him then. And I’ll bet again on the fact that you won’t be within a 1,000 miles of the courthouse.
