Number of aid workers who “have lost their lives since 2002, mostly through deliberate attacks,” according to National Journal. “Violent incidents against aid groups doubled after 2001, from about 30 incidents in 2002 to 60 or 70 in 2006.” More than 200 humanitarians have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan since hostilities began.

    My heart goes out to these people. How admirable they are. They are willing to put their life on the line to do good in this world. Contrast this with all the chicken$hit Republiscums who advocate war, but won’t fight the war they believe in.

    163 American civilians have been killed in Iraq since March 2003 – including security contractors, firefighters, truck drivers, etc. These people are in addition to the nearly 4,000 U.S. military personnel. Source: iraqcasualtycount.org
