Kissinger skeptical of blogs.

Kissinger skeptical of blogs.

Last night, conservatives gathered at the Four Seasons in New York City for a Power Line event to honor Norman Podhoretz with a book award. Guests included Bill Kristol and Paul Wolfowitz, who arrived with his infamous love interest Shaha Riza. Henry Kissinger also gave a speech:

As Mr. Kissinger said in his remarks, “I don’t know what a blog is. I don’t know how to find a blog.” His computer, he said, is used to read newspapers. [...]

Mr. Kissinger said he was skeptical about the digitalization of media, for if his words and sentences “get shortened for cyberspace, there is no telling what will come out.”

As The New York Times notes, Kissinger should be worried about more than just the digital media getting his words wrong.

‘S OK, you old Nazi, we’re still extremely skeptical of you.

  5. raynman says:

    I think he misspoke…

he meant he was skeptical of the ‘facts’, not blogs. So it should read:
As Mr. Kissinger said in his remarks, “I don’t know what a fact is. I don’t know how to find a fact.”

  6. profmarcus says:

henry the k should have been indicted, prosecuted, convicted, and jailed for war crimes decades ago… but, hey…! it’s not too late… i don’t believe there’s a statute of limitations on murder…

And, yes, I DO take it personally

does this matter??? the man is decomposing before our very eyes!

  8. Gatsby says:

I thought Shaha Riza had dumped Wolfie? I guess some women are not easily disgusted by moral bankruptness. In her case, she clearly has no problem with Wolfie’s amorality. I would have thought, though, that, as a woman, she would have been disgusted by his lack of personal hygiene. The guy is revolting: he smells, he spits on his comb before combing his hair, and he has holes in his socks. Yuck!

  9. The Republic of Stupidity says:

There is indeed no statute of limitations on murder, prof…

    You are correct.

Kissinger is the one who patronized the 9/11 Widows pushing for the commission to find out how their husbands died. I didn’t expect any better of this boot licker.

  11. Badmoodman says:

Henry’s been mediaphobic since the secret White House recordings during Watergate were made public. Or maybe dating Barbara Walters did it.

It could be worse for him — with the digitalization of media, there’s a greater chance that he will be quoted ACCURATELY.

Henry’s only problem is that he is not seven, like my Granddaughter. You know the adage about old dogs and new tricks – at this stage, Henry is the oldest dog in the pound.

Hardly worth noting. Henry is old enough to fart dust. He wouldn’t know where to find his own rump using his own two hands either.

People are generally amazed that I would take an interest in any form that would require me to stop talking for three hours.

This is right. The principal reason for antagonism towards blogs is that it exposes the charlatans to scrutiny, interferes with plausible deniability, and generally takes away their “message control”.

  26. Tired of being lied to says:

‘Mr. Kissinger said he was skeptical about the digitalization of media, for if his words and sentences “get shortened for cyberspace, there is no telling what will come out.”’

Right, Henry boy. And the administration is being completely honest and forthright, and fully discloses all they know to the citizens of the county who elected them to represent them. Not!

The blogs exist because politicians in general, and this administration in particular, have been far, far, less than honest, open, and forthright in dealing with its citizens. The people know this and are fighting back with the only weapon they have – the power of the written word. Perhaps the more ink we bleed (even digitally), the less blood we will – eventually – spill, and the more the truth will be known.

We are only trying to put all the pieces together to understand what the hell is going on. And God knows, the politicians do not want us to know this. Ignorance and the censorship and sequestering of information are among the greatest reserves of power used by those leaders who overthrow governments of the people. Every time a government is overthrown by its leaders, one of the first things they do is to choke off the press and the ability of people to express their concerns and warn others.

You’re a smart man, HK. Quit playing possum on us.

    Cheers,

  28. Jeremy in Denver says:

Hehe…Yeah, Kissinger should be worried. They may strip out every 7th bit of his message, yaknow? Then it’ll come out all garbled. Wait…it went IN garbled? Oh, so that’s what Garbage In, Garbage Out means…

    :-D

  29. gummitch says:

No matter how old I get, this sh!tbag just refuses to do the graceful thing and go. Creep.

  30. jb says:

Kissinger should be roasted on a spit like the fat pig he is. Criminal POS.

  31. Mr. Evil says:

What a coincidence, we’re skeptical of you Henry.

  32. MiMiCcs says:

    Yes indeedy.

“”Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will pledge with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government.”
    - Henry Kissinger in an address to the Bilderberger meeting at Evian, France, May 21, 1992.

(in an address to the Bilderberger organization meeting at Evian, France, on May 21, 1991. As transcribed from a tape recording made by one of the Swiss delegates. )”

I don’t see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people. The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves.
Henry A. Kissinger (so we gave them Pinochet)

“It is an act of insanity and national humiliation to have a law prohibiting the President from ordering assassination.”
    - National Security Council meeting, 1975

“The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer.”
(joke to a NY Times reporter)

Who gives a fug whether this war criminal likes blogs? Honestly, we don’t need to know everything that these crooks say.

Kissinger: “I don’t know what a blog is. I don’t know how to find a blog.”

Memo to Kissinger: Don’t ask the Internets-in-chief. He only knows The Google for maps on his Crawford Ranch.

  35. kassandrasduplex says:

Sounds like the Zionists were have a love-in. And they are moving to take control of the internet as they have more or less co-opted most all of the other major media. (i.e. Harper’s Magazine etc.)

  36. An Outhouse says:

    1) If I didn’t know anything about the organization giving me an award, I sure as hell wouldn’t accept it. “The Creativity Movement honors An Outhouse for excellence in blog comments”. (Creativity Movement is a neo-nazi group).

    2) Who is Powerline’s sugar daddy providing the wingnut welfare for this?
