Yesterday on his Fox Business News show, Neil Cavuto stated:
But Frank, if she has tried that to little avail in the campaign thus far and she’s trying to run away from this tough, kind of bitchy image that her critics claim that she has, wouldn’t that reinforce that image and actually help Barack Obama? In other words, isn’t she between kind of like a rock and a hard place?
Media Matters has more on the media’s repeated use of this slur.
When McCain shouts down dissenters at any of his speeches or Q&A sessions, he’s being forceful and assertive.
The Fox clowns will berate Hillary for playing her gender card but they’re the ones who keep dealing it from the bottom of the deck.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:24 pmclassy…
February 19th, 2008 at 6:24 pmClinton uses in her rhetoric: I, me mine in comparison to Obama using: We, You and Ours. She can change her words, but the honest intent of the words still belongs to Obama.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:28 pmAnd please TP, tell us ADULTS what’s up with the asterisk instead of an “i”? We’re big people. Why is it ok for us to hear it and say it but, we can’t read it?
February 19th, 2008 at 6:30 pmBut what about Cavuto’s manboobs??
Isn’t he kind of stuck between a soft place, and a softer place, on that issue??
February 19th, 2008 at 6:34 pmClinton is a b*tch, but should that really be a topic for a ‘Business Show’?
I would think that you might want to put someone on the air that had SOMETHING to bring to the table.

February 19th, 2008 at 6:35 pmHillary has favored Fox over MSNBC because of what she believes is their bias — will she be changing her mind now? Will Cavuto be dragged through the press for his remarks as any other commentator?
February 19th, 2008 at 6:37 pmCertainly, I am not defending any of these personal slurs committed by any commentator, but the line between commentator and newsman is blurred, and Cavuto’s comments help to legitimize this type of opining.
Apparently, the Fox group can get away with saying pretty much anything, but not anyone else.
And on his own image as an unrepentant propagandistic fu(kstick, Cavuto predictably had no comment.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:41 pm#8 Yeah I forgot about that whole ‘oh my god, im so offended you said Im pimping out my daughter’ nonsense.
Didn’t she recently agree to a debate on Fox? Hopefully this will at a minimum spur a withdrawal.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:41 pmCavuto? Fox?
February 19th, 2008 at 6:44 pmJust another Washington’s right-wing’s propaganda machine.
Who cares?????????????
And please TP, tell us ADULTS what’s up with the asterisk instead of an “i We’re big people. Why is it ok for us to hear it and say it but, we can’t read it?

Well, I wouldn’t call all of us adults – just most of us.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:46 pmamazing… i posted the comment below, now from memory, got sidetracked and minute, come back and see that it did not post…
I FORGOT TO USE THE * INSTEAD OF AN “I”, AS IN B*TCHY…
how DUMB is that, ThinkPROGRESS ?!?!?!?
sh!te…
get my comment out of the trash and GROW UP.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:51 pm.
Isnt Cavuto supposed to be the business guru???
February 19th, 2008 at 6:56 pmThe double standard is alive and well at Fauchs Snooze. McCrazy screams his fool head off shouting down detractors yet when Hillary does the dame, she’s a biotch. The quintessential biotch though is George W. Bush.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:58 pmThe republican reflex, how they poor all their energies into Clinton, though she won’t be the nominee, will leave them short of breath months before Obama declared the nominee.
Obama should have an easy campaign this fall, and for good reason.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:58 pm.
well, i don’t get it, i don’t get your grief here…
hillary DOES have a B!TCHY image, and she IS trying to run away from it…
is she gonna have cavuto suspended too???
wah wah wah…
February 19th, 2008 at 6:58 pmdrtichy: I’ll second that. Who gives a rat’s a$$ about what two propaganda tools on this Bush Megaphone have to say.

Republicans never do what they’re paid to do, which makes them paid bums.
February 19th, 2008 at 7:01 pmOne of these days someone is going to be really fed up with the nonsense this clown spouts and he is going to get his dimpled arse kicked into the middle of next week.
February 19th, 2008 at 7:09 pmthere IS a big difference between
CALLING SOMEONE A B!TCH
and SAYING that someone, anyone,
has a B!TCHY image.
.
and throwing out false accusations of “plagiarism”
is probably gonna add to that B!TCHY image… y’think?
.
i begged you not to run, hillary…
February 19th, 2008 at 7:34 pmkaty’s remarkably blunt. IMHO, Bill needs to get the hell of the campaign trail. I’m concerned about his conduct towards that Obama heckler in Ohio and thought he overreacted.
February 19th, 2008 at 7:41 pmOops. Posted a brilliant comment that was filtered by the TP grannyware because I forgot to misspell the word “female dog”.

Actually, I think what we are seeing is both of the Clintons imploding. They are not used to losing and are not handling it well.
Also, I have a question. What’s up with her 35 years of experience. As far as I know, she was a first lady for 8 years (which doesn’t count as government experience) and a Senator for 6 years. How does that add up to 35 years of experience?

Tut tut. She was also First Lady of Arkansas, so she’s really piled up the years of service.
And I think she’s been Senator for 8 years now, hasn’t she? Or 7?
She also claims that she’s ready for the tough election but she’s never personally faced a tough Republican candidate. Rudy was going to provide a battle for senator, but then he pooped out, and the Republicans ran a complete nonentity. In the last election, they started with Jeanine Pirro and then she pooped out.

is that good or bad, for you? … only curious… i couldn’t tell…
i do have a way… gets me in trouble too…
…
as far as that “experience” of hillary’s… i’ll give her that, but when
she refers to being able to face the slime machine because of that
experience, well, what i think is, if she’s not in the race, that slime machine will be a different animal… i’m well aware the righties will
come after obama – duh – but the clinton-hating-slime-machine is another brand in and of itself…
i do not fault the clintons for that, but just knowing what would
happen should’ve been the patriotic reason to NOT run for president
of this broken country…
and if it weren’t for the dire need to prevent the supreme court from
reverting to the 18th century, i would have to think about NOT voting
for hillary clinton … as it is, even she has my vote…
we’ll all manage somehow…

It is a good thing. Cavuto is a mouthbreather, but we don’t want to be arguing his words under false pretenses. B*tchy is, as you explained, clearly different from calling someone a b*tch.
I’ll get behind hillary if she is the nominee, but I don’t feel that we’re throwing the right a bone by attacking her credentials. We feel she identifies with the problem a little more than we hoped, or the right. We’re comparing her to the more preferable Obama, and we’re getting what we hoped for in light of his 10 straight wins.
Democracy at work.
February 20th, 2008 at 10:23 amObama commits plagiarism and Hillary is the bad guy? What give here?
February 20th, 2008 at 10:26 amthanks, mcwars… i was hoping for that conclusion…
and i agree with you: I’ll get behind hillary if she is the nominee…

“commits plagiarism”… that’s funny…
