Also, understand that I can be a bit of a smart ass, as well as an antagonizer. As I wore my Michigan State jersey to a predominently Michigan Wolverine base, and was thus chastised, I sarcastically said “Well, wait until next month when I wear my Obama t-shirt” This, of course, got the predicted heated arguments rolling :-)
But what I learned is that my very unscientific polling indicates that my friends, the ditto heads, believe after the primaries are finished, the country will be looking for a war hero to lead this country, and McCain may have a chance if apple a1185 black battery,apple a1175 battery he runs against Hillary. They also feel that Obama would only have slight edge.

I am a moderate conservative in the US. That makes me a wild progressive by the standards of much of the rest of the world.

How about the “folks” who blow up polling places in Pakistan, who plan more attacks on the US, who daily attack Israel, who commit genocide in Darfur, who fund Hamas, Hezbollah and Al-Sadr, etc. etc. etc. etc….

Please don’t waste our time on the list of people above; it is only a partial list in the first place and I don’t want to get into the blow by blow of just how nice all these folks really are as opposed to evil old us. My point is, if Obama is elected President, which I would call a very Progressive thing, do you seriously believe the rest of the world is going to say, “Oh, the US elected a black liberal, lets forsake violence now” ?

Part of me actually thinks there IS a chance he could usher in a New Day…I have said many times on this list I think he is capable of radical new directions much more than anyone realizes. I hope his efforts are more directed at foreign policy than domestic policy – it is hard to say what the focus of his Presidency would be based on his rhetoric thus far.

Obama put conditions here:
If we have solid intelligence. And
If Paksitan refused to act…

I don’t think McCain will act differently under such circumstances.
But McCain wants to show that Obama lacks the experience, which he himself proclaims to have.

Only if Halliburton and Cheney need more money. Otherwise adults will find a calm and diplomatic way of comunicating to those that don’t agree 100% with our ‘vision’. Remember GiGi, Bush started out with a pretty good approval rating – now down to 19%. His ‘vision’ is flawed. Yours too.

McCain continues to mislead America today by saying Obama said he would bomb Pakistan. Obama had said he would go after high-value Al Queda targets there if the country’s president was unwilling to act. Their was a recent air strike on such a target. McCain failed to mention that.

With luck, and God watching over the US, the Democratic President will end the occupation in Iraq in 2009, and work at un-screwing our involvement in Afghanistan. We’ve screwed up in Afghanistan twice in the past 25 years.

The present administration and republicans are ALL about big government. BIG deficit spending, and overarching intrusion on civil liberties, and meddling in the destiny’s of other countries for the benefit of American BIG business.
He attacks Obama’s ability to reach his audience by denigrating it as just “eloquent”. Well, senator, you do not have the chops to bring this country together or to heal the international wounds inflicted by your party.

McCain needs to retire. He thinks that war is the only answer to world problems and disputes among nations.

I have no doubt that he will have his own cheerleaders of wars.
Wars should be the last thing any leader think about…but listening to McCain it seems like it is his first choice…
