Obama’s Pakistan position endorsed by Bush in ‘06.

In a segment today about Sen. John McCain’s misleading attacks on Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-IL) willigness to act against al Qaeda in Pakistan, CNN notes that President Bush took the same position as Obama in a 2006 interview with Wolf Blitzer. “Absolutely,” said Bush when asked if he “would give the order” to “kill or capture” al Qaeda leaders in Pakistan, even if the Pakistani government objected. Watch it:

CNN doesn’t note, however, that in a Feb. 10 interview with Fox News Sunday, Bush contradicted his ‘06 comments by making the same misleading attack on Obama. “[H]e’s going to attack Pakistan,” Bush said of Obama.

Ya gotta love that banner line at the bottom, McCain Attacking Obama? Confused? Inexperienced? McCain can’t keep his story from meandering whilst pandering to the audience of the hour!
And if by experience, he means having one’s head squarely up AIPAC’s ass, well, John’s got Obama there.

  4. RUCerious says:

Chyron! that’s the ‘banner thingy’ I was referring to in previous post. I just love that word, sounds like a mythical greek figure!

  5. Marie says:

    Typical Bush.
Contradicting himself, and not being challenged by the friendly interviewer.
I am being kind in asserting that he contradicts himself — we all know he is a liar, a pathological liar, a compulsive liar, an incorrigible liar.
oh, and did I say he is a liar?

  6. leftcoast says:

McCain lacks the otherside of the coin when it comes to experience, knowledge. If he can’t get some simple fact straight about statements made by one of his opponents what does that say about an international opponent?

Daryll, he’s almost there and no one else has enough delegates to challenge him. You promised us that Huckabee was going to win! You said God guaranteed it!

Daryll, “my friend”, McCain can’t even spell change. He is nothing more than the monkey on the leash of the GOP organ grinder. He is cannon fodder for this election cycle. The GOP spelled that out when they asked Romney to step away so he can run and perhaps win in 2012.

Honest question, would really like an honest answer. If McCain wins the nomination, regardless of who wins the dem side, what will you do on election day? I hear a LOT of republicans trashing McCain all the time, but in the end, I honestly believe they will still vote for him.

  20. tombaker says:

wait a sec – that means McMaverick is even worse at being Bush than Bush is!!!

  21. Shayne says:

    Comment by Xisithrus — February 20, 2008 @ 6:49 pm

Yes because Daryll is smitten by Huckleberry.

  22. leftcoast says:

The republican machine is beginning to gear up the lie factory. They have nothing left, since that’s all they have done for eight years.
The next thing they’ll come out with is that Obama fathered a black love child. Oh, wait…

  23. Xisithrus says:

Now, just hold on a minute Daryll, you thinks politics and politicians are moral and can create morals?

  24. Fred says:

The First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc.

from the link to daryll’s name……..doesn’t look like a non profit does it….

I’ve never seen a church, inc. before that I can remember.

it’s in the scrolling banner on the right.

  25. nanlichi says:

Brother Daryll. I remind you of our mutual promise, if Huckster wins the Presidency, I promised to donate $10,000 to your church of I Got Mine, You Get Yours, Inc., but if he doesn’t you have to donate $1,000 to my church, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in San Francisco.

Better start the bake sales buddy, God has kicked Huck in the teeth. Silly shit works in mysterious ways doesn’t He?

  26. RUCerious says:

Fred, his ‘church’ is the holy rollers from hell. Pastor Jennings has a patent on God, and will sell you some, if you join.

  27. Fred says:

    Comment by RUCerious

I have no doubt they are wierdo’s……we used to sneak into the back of the holly rollers from hell in our area when we were kids………it was a freak show.

it’s the .inc part that threw me…….I’ve never seen that before and it must be because it’s not a religion at all……it must be for profit and a business, eh?

  28. Bobwurst says:

I didn’t know festering boils could have canker sores.

  29. Fred says:

they have their own bible verses that are not in any of the king james versions.

As Jer 3:15 ..”And I will give you pastors according to mine heart which shall teach you knowledge and understanding.” In this we give God all credit and praise to God for sending us a true minister of God-Pastor Gino Jennings. Hear Ye Him!

never read a scripture that called a pastor by name before……must be the speaking in tongues thing…

  30. Fred says:

    Chyron will not be pleased.

the GOP is a canker sore. MsStain is just the visible part. he represents the weakness and immorality of the conservative fascist GOP perfectly. Nobody is a better representative of a morally and ethically bankrupt right wing than McCain.

  32. McWars says:

I want to seek Huckabee the top military chaplain in Iraq.

    Chaplain Huckster!!!!!!!

  33. RUCerious says:

Fred, when I was at UCSB, I took several ethnomusicology classes, and for one assignment, I recorded my Boss’s wife’s holy roller service. It was great music, but the rolling on the floor and speaking in tongues was pretty unnerving. Great Boogie beat, though!

mmm – obama wants to go after a terrorist group that have a safe haven in a country ruled by the police and happens to have nuclear weapons – sounds logical to me – whereas mccain wants to continue to put his “my friends” in harms way to drill for oil in a failed state – obama will steamroll the backtrack express in the general election – i can’t wait!!!

Hope?!? You HOPE he doesn’t win the nomination???

Why so worried, Daryll? Didn’t God already elect Huckabee?

You’re not losing your faith, are you?

  37. andy phx says:

  38. Badger says:

I saw a snippet of McCain’s criticism. It seemed to me that he was criticizing Obama’s ANNOUNCING his intentions…not the intentions themselves( ie. bombing a soverieign country ..Pakistan.. to get a terrorist without securing that country’s OK)

The US did take out a terrorist with a drone spyplane in Pakistan without permission.

Bush did ANNOUNCE such a scenario on CNN.

So either way, Obama has his position endorsed by reality.

Poor Daryll and it’s ilk. They think that there is a possibility that McCain won’t be the nominee. The only way that is going to happen is if he dies. What are they going to do? I hope that all their heads explode at the same time. That would be a sight to see.

  40. The Republic of Stupidity says:

I really want to see these people put into handcuffs by the Sargent at Arms and frog marched down into the jail in the cellar.

  41. MapleStreet says:

Considering all the contradictory statements by McCain that are in the public domain (not to mention YouTube and other video services), it seems like they’re following the neocon creed of attacking your enemy at YOUR weak point.
