GHW Bush is in Dallas when JFK gets shot and Cheney is in Dallas when security detail is pulled of Obama. Coincidence?

Sorry, but Obama was in Ohio this weekend. Cheney arrived in Big D today.

Secret service wasn’t ”pulled away”. They stayed, they just stopped detailed security checks.

As far as more damage to this country. The tally hasn’t been completed by this current one but I’m fairly certain that Carter will be standing on Bush’ shoulders when it’s all said and done.

Bush has thrown out almost all values a true conservative and republican hold dear. The debt has ballooned and that doesn’t include the cost for Iraq. The size of the govt. has also ballooned while the efficiency has dropped. The secrecy of this govt and it’s intrusion into the private lives of citizens is directly against the republican mantra but they blindly allowed it.

Carter also instituted a series of energy saving policies that would have made us much less dependent on foriegn oil if Reagan hadn’t reversed them. He set aside money for solar development, and wind farm inititaves. and lowered the speed limit to 55 to save gas.

  104. hellinabucket says:

Spot on Bobwurst, VA please note Bobwurst’s post at 108 for several points showing Carter’s good done in this world as president.

Bush’s battle cry after 9/11 was for us to go shopping. I don’t feel inspired to follow that.

    VA, why do you?

So he used the police power of the government against its people instead of working with American business to find free market solutions to issues.

  106. hellinabucket says:

Shame that VA is becoming a blue state? You have one of the most principled Senators in Mr. Webb. Why does that disappoint you? Don’t tell me you wanted Macacca?

It’s a shame we have more representatives with pro-human qualities.

  108. hellinabucket says:

Used the police power of the govt.? VA, you realize your phone calls can be tapped by the use of this same police power. So you use it as an argument against one thing but stand behind it for another. You do see the hypocrisy don’t you?

So you think that we should have no speed limits?
He used the power of tax incentives prod industry to work for the common good, kind of like how bush gives tax breaks to his friends and families and to the oil companies who are already scoring record breaking profits. except for that whole “common good” part.

  118. Bush Cover Ups says:

WASHINGTON (AFP) – A powerful US senator voiced concern Thursday that American citizens may have opened accounts with Liechtenstein’s LGT Bank in a bid to evade US taxes.

Liechtenstein’s status as a secretive banking center has come under fire after Germany’s government opened a vast tax probe of nearly 1,000 people suspected of hiding billions of dollars in accounts in the small European principality.

US Senator Carl Levin, the chairman of a Senate investigations committee, said he intended to probe whether wealthy American citizens had hidden funds in Liechtenstein bank accounts in a bid to evade taxes.

“Liechtenstein’s LGT Bank, which is owned by the royal family, has apparently harbored numerous secret accounts which hid the taxable assets of thousands of citizens from around the world,” Levin said in a statement.

Halliburton Steals Information from Petrobas (PBR)

Brazil’s state oil company Petrobras (PETR4.SA: Quote, Profile, Research)(PBR.N: Quote, Profile, Research), said Thursday that computers containing “important information” of oil and gas field research off the Brazilian coast were stolen. (CNN) The objects were being transported by U.S. oilfield service company Halliburton Co. (HAL), the Web site said. The hardware contained confidential information on research that led to recent discoveries of massive new oil and gas fields in ultra-deep waters off the Brazilian coast, Terra said, without giving sources.

The size of the govt. has also ballooned while the asus silver w1000 battery, asus silver w1000g battery efficiency has dropped. The secrecy of this govt and it’s intrusion into the private lives of citizens is directly against the republican mantra but they blindly allowed it.
